Why the low rating? We initially tried to eat at a restaurant next door but they had a 30-40min wait. I was famished and stumbled upon this place. Food was AWESOME. The servers were attentive and food came out quick and piping hot. I've been to other florence restaurants with slow service and food came out slow as molasses. We feasted on burrata salad, margarita pizza (thin crust, saucy and gooey hot cheese), carbonara pasta and clam linguini (LOTS of clams). So the pasta dishes were ENORMOUS and TASTY. That's all I care about when it comes to food. So to recap, fast and friendly service, huge portions, attentive service. All this with wine was about 50E. In Chicago, where we are from, this meal would have cost at least $100. Go. Just do it.

Best Spaghetti con vongole in Florence. It's true and can you really blame them, that waiters in these highly tourist areas can be gruff. Ain't easy working day and night almost all year with pushy tourists who often don't speak a word of Italian or make even the slightest effort to and also let us admit are unpleasant with the waiters. So I ignored the mostly gruff service and ordered. We started with a melon with prosciutto. Absolutely incredible fruit and the ham wasn't shabby either. My wife ordered a fish filet with incredible veggies. The spaghetti con vongole arrived. Al dente to perfection, perfect mix of oil, herbs. The outside terrace ain't too shabby either.

Nasty food. The rule in Italy is, if the bread is bad, stay away. The bread is stale. We've had two other restaurants in Florence with the same stale bread. The restaurant next to this one, Tamero, had excellent bread and food the previous night. Fine, we figured stale bread was maybe an Italian tradition. Then, the wife ordered risotto with artichoke. The artichoke was nasty, stringy and hard. Good risotto should be creamy and not taste like stale rice. She had two bites and threw it to the side. The service is very slow and they seem confused. This was partially my fault since I didn't read the reviews and wanted something different. 60 euros.. should have gone to a McDonalds..man I hate to say that as Florence is a wonderful city. It's food is poisoned by the temptation of making a fast buck on unsuspecting tourists.

Food was perfect, the ambiance was great and the service was on point. We had the house wine, quattro cheese pizza and pappardelle wild bore ragu and it was heavenly. Highly recommended!! They also serve gelato but I suggest walking around the corner for some.

We had a great time! We had to sit inside as there was a 20 minutes wait for outside and we were just too hungry to wait, bit indoors was just as lovely, with the advantage of being less crowded. Our pizzas were brought over quickly and the staff was friendly if a little rushed off their feet (understandable, since I counted three waiters for the whole place). Desserts were very good, as well. Downside was the house wine (for 8€ I would have expected something nicer) and the cover charge. We paid 3€ each, which for inside the restaurant is a bit steep in my opinion.

I went there twice, once for lunch I had ravioli pecorino tartufo it was quite good, and another time for dinner pizza it was alright but not that wow. The service was good, the waiters are fast and friendly, and the atmosphere in Santo Spirito Square is nice, especially during aperitivo time. This place was recommended by a tour guide, it was a nice discovery!

The best pasta I've ever had in my life. The service is the nicest and charming. The overall quality is the best. The view is excellent. Saying it is the best restaurant in Firenze is an understatement. Amazing! Thank you
