β β β β β One of the many artisans across the Arno in Florence that you must stop by and see. The last of his kind, an artisan who specializes in the lost art of hand engraving jewelry, decorations, ornaments of all kinds. His shop is small, but when you go downstairs to witness his craft one is truly amazed by the artistry involved. Not to be missed!

β β β β β Giuliano and his wife are a delightful couple who welcomed us into their shop and gave us a short tour. He demonstrated the press underground, and she showed us all the products they offer upstairs. The store has been around since 1612.
They speak minimal English but were very eager to go on and on with all the intricacies of the items in the shops, like bracelets that have the GPS coordinates of Florence. They showed us pictures of their family and they even have a large drawing on display done by their grandchildren.
The items were surprisingly cheap for such carefully crafted items, such as 15-20 for a bracelet and 10 for a Christmas ornament.
Please visit with respect, lest this lovely shop be overrun and commercialized. I hesitated to write this review but the sheer happiness of the couple prompted me to share the experience and details with the world.
The store is a little hard to find. See pictures for the door and which bell to ring. Then, go straight in to the courtyard.

β β β β β Wow! What an amazing experience! Took some work to find a place in Florence that makes hand made Christmas ornaments (not at Christmas time). I stumbled across Giulianos page on Facebook and from there emailed him. Quick response! His place was relatively east to find. Upon meeting him, kindest person Iβve met in Italy. He showed me all of his crafts and even how he made them in his basement! Hard to see expressions behind a mask but I could see how much pride and joy he had in them. 10/10 must see and purchase from him if youβre looking for jewelry or home items. So so glad I get to take a few pieces from his collection to my home in the states.
