★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella realizzazione che s'inscrive perfettamente nella cornice della nuova Bergamo bassa, articolato sistema urbanistico ideato da Marcello Piacentini (1881 - 1960) già nel 1907, ma portato a compimento solo vent'anni dopo. Il quadriportico contiene tutti gli elementi migliori della sua arte, ossia un neoclassicismo dalle linee semplici ed essenziali, le quali però vengono di volta in volta arricchite dalle più disparate correnti artistiche del tempo, siano esse quelle più "tradizionaliste" del movimento Novecento (come in questo caso) oppure le più sperimentali del Razionalismo italiano.
Beautiful construction that fits perfectly into the frame of the new lower Bergamo, an articulated urban system conceived by Marcello Piacentini (1881 - 1960) as early as 1907, but completed only twenty years later. The quadriporticus contains all the best elements of his art, that is a neoclassicism with simple and essential lines, which however are enriched from time to time by the most disparate artistic currents of the time, be they the most "traditionalist" of the twentieth century movement (as in this case) or the most experimental of Italian Rationalism.
