Ancient cistern built by the Visconti to supply the city with water. Subsequently a room was built above it for the exhibition of the ancient city tombstones and then it became the seat of the University of Sciences, Letters and Arts for the study of local history. Open occasionally for exhibitions and cultural initiatives.

Era alimentata dall‘acquedotto Magistrale ed aveva una portata di 22.000 litri d‘acqua.
One of the three cisterns that provided water for the inhabitants of Città Alta during periods of drought or siege. Built in 1342 at the time of the Visconti Lordship of Giovanni and Luchino Visconti (commemorative marble plaque). It was powered by the Magistral aqueduct and had a flow rate of 22,000 liters of water.
