★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questa fontana recentemente restaurata fu edificata nel1575 durante il dominio Veneto dal Capitano Marcantonio Memo e dal prefetto Francesco Longo(come ricordano le iscrizioni) contestualmente alla porta omonima di cui richiama l'architettura e la divisione in tre portici per fare da fondale a chi vi si immetteva giungendo da Venezia. Prendeva acqua dalla cisterna omonima e dopo il restauro ha ricominciato a zampillare ma ora non più. Mi chiedo perché.
This fountain, recently restored, was built in 1575 during the Venetian dominion by Captain Marcantonio Memo and by the Prefect Francesco Longo (as the inscriptions recall) together with the port bearing the same name, which recalls the architecture and the division into three porticos to make the backdrop to those who it entered coming from Venice. He took water from the cistern of the same name and after the restoration he started to gush out again but now no longer. I wonder why.
