★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Detesto imbarcarmi a Livorno, le ore di attesa per il traghetto risultano interminabili. L'area coperta è molto grande ma manca a mio avviso un locale di ristorazione adeguato. Ovviamente le persone che attendono di imbarcarsi sono moltissime, restare di giorno in auto non è fattibile sotto il sole per così tanto tempo quindi è normale ripararsi all'interno della stazione. Il bar è microscopico, si forma una coda chilometrica anche solo per un caffè. Pochissimi tavolini, pochissimi panini o cose veloci da mangiare e capita che quando FINALMENTE tocca a te è tutto finito. Con uno spazio così ampio a disposizione sarebbe il caso di allargare l'area ristorazione.
I bagni li trovo sempre molto puliti.
Ci sono colonnine di ricarica con prese usb per telefono, tablet...ecc.
Le indicazioni per il pubblico sono molto carenti specie riguardo all'accesso dall'area in cui si lascia il veicolo verso l'area ristoro. C'è un tornello da attraversare ed una volta oltrepassato per poi tornare all'auto bisogna fare un giro enorme a piedi sotto il sole. Prima di attraversarlo ricordarsi di portare con sé i biglietti del traghetto perché sono necessari per poter tornare attraverso un check point. Il cartello che illustra questa procedura è posizionato in un modo poco visibile e la maggior parte delle persone non lo nota. Dovrebbero segnalare bene anche il percorso da fare per tornare all'auto, ora è tutto affidato all'istinto o alle indicazioni di chi ci è già stato.

I hate to embark in Livorno, the hours of waiting for the ferry are interminable. The covered area is very large but in my opinion there is no suitable restaurant. Obviously the people waiting to board are very many, staying in the car during the day is not feasible under the sun for so long so it is normal to take shelter inside the station. The bar is microscopic, a long queue forms even just for a coffee. Very few tables, very few sandwiches or quick things to eat and it happens that when FINALLY it's your turn it's all over. With such a large space available, it would be appropriate to enlarge the catering area.
I always find the bathrooms very clean.
There are charging stations with USB sockets for phones, tablets ... etc.
The indications for the public are very lacking, especially regarding access from the area where you leave the vehicle to the refreshment area. There is a turnstile to cross and once you have passed it and then back to the car you have to do a huge tour on foot under the sun. Before crossing it, remember to take your ferry tickets with you as they are necessary to be able to return through a check point. The sign illustrating this procedure is placed in an inconspicuous way and most people don't notice it. They should also indicate well the path to take to get back to the car, now everything is entrusted to the instinct or to the indications of those who have already been there.
