A real revelation is all in the fascinating Palazzo Orsini Righetti, whose important seventeenth-century façade on Piazza del Biscione sharply brakes its run near the corner where the Torre dell'Arpacata rises, close to the ancient Farnese Cinema: the difference in height is accentuated by the presence of the turning point in regular tufelli courses (the typical Roman bricks), which almost seem to want to witness a strong tearing of the masonry. The Doric small columns and the Roman travertine cornices are literally swallowed up by the plastered facade of the tower, the celebrated house and barony of the house of Bracciano: once decorated with a clock that overlooked the square, it is an interesting example of stratification made on the ashes of the alleged Theater of Pompeo (known in the Middle Ages as the Trullo).
