★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time in Roma here, and landed at this place just because it closes late and it was next to our hotel… I did not know it was just 1 set menu, but it turned out to be incredible good! Wife and I had 1 for both, and it was sufficient for both. I recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A highly recommended visit. grandma greets you. You’re served without looking at a menu and each plate is delicious. A hole in the wall, rarely busy and not one disappointment. Want an aperol spritz, go somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was decent, with good portions. However, the price is certainly not worth it. I had visited before and paid €25 for a very filling four-course meal, but this time we were charged €35 a head. I'm not sure if it's the waiters overcharging diners, or extreme inflation, but I'd steer clear.
Reading other recent reviews, there seems to be inconsistent pricing, so it seems there's something shady happening.
Real shame because I've enjoyed dining here in the past.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is authentic Italian Dining. Mama chefcam out of the kitchen to great all of us personally. Then splashed the dinner table with a fantastic taste of her little Italy. Nothing beats family style dining. Highly, highly a must to visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a great place to eat and enjoy authentic Italian food. The owner was the sweetest lady and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was made the right way and it’s location has a story to tell (it was built on top of an old theater) with a peaceful feel. Definitely recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazingly simple and delicious, no-frills Roman dinner. Just what we were looking for and so grateful after our experience the night before at an extremely overrated place in Trastevere. Quiet, but active setting and a nice outdoor terrace. We were greeted at the door by the family to let us know it was a traditional fixed-price set menu - €25 for 4 courses and €20 for 3. Antipasti was served family-style with no-frills, but extremely flavorful dishes - fresh bread, toasted bread with garlic & olive oil, red ripe tomatoes & basil with olive oil, prosciutto, mozzarella, and really, really good lentils. There were also some veal croquettes as well as some rice & cheese croquettes. Also included is water & vino di casa. Second course was pasta. I’m vegetarian, so I just had the simple tomato sauce & cheese that was mouth-watering and everyone else additionally had carbonara. These all tasted fresh and truly homemade. They also brought us some hot-from-the-fryer potato chips while we waited for dessert which was a slice of cake and a small cup of flavorful strawberry juice. I didn’t care much for the cake, but honestly I was so full, a few bites was all I could eat. Service was great - they spoke English if needed. They only take cash, so have that ready, and be sure you’re hungry because it would be a shame to have to waste any of this deliciously prepared food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had stomach issues after the dinner at Der Pallaro. The waiter didn’t ask for the allergies or told anything about the the food! The price is fixed - 25€ per person, even though half of the items were sent back due to allergy. Bad experience. Creepy atmosphere. The pasta was served in a dirty bowl (see the photo). The orange juice was bad, dessert smelled bad too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Off the beaten track, cash only, fixed menu - you don't get to choose. It's a simple Roman family home cooking style, very delicious in a local relaxed atmosphere in a courtyard. You can have 3 large course menu or 4 large course menu. Recommended.
