Cappelle con plastici e affreschi risalenti a fine 1700. Santuario anch'esso ricco di plastici, affreschi e cappelle di bell'impatto. Resti del castello Mattarella, con origini risalenti addirittura al X sec., ben conservate e visitabili, circondate da un bel parco che risulta bello da percorrere e che affaccia panoramicamente sulla stessa Domodossola e la vallata intera, offrendo un bel punto panoramico. Facile da raggiungere, parking coperto (gratuito, almeno nel periodo della ns. visita lo era), disponibile una guida cartacea (nelle 3/4 lingue più comuni) salvo esaurimento. Entrata libera. UNESCO heritage. Pleasant to visit beyond religious involvement or not ..... You can walk through the various levels of the complex. Chapels with models and frescoes dating back to the late 1700s. Sanctuary also rich in plastic models, frescoes and chapels with a beautiful impact. Remains of the Mattarella castle, with origins dating back to the 10th century, well preserved and open to visitors, surrounded by a beautiful park which is beautiful to walk and which overlooks Domodossola itself and the entire valley, offering a beautiful panoramic point. Easy to reach, covered parking (free, at least during the period of our visit), a paper guide (in the 3/4 most common languages) available, subject to availability. Free entry.

Cibo, disponibilità, pazienza, partecipazione, tutto stupendo e funzionato alla grande. Stanze semplici ma accoglienti, pulita e tutte con bagno. Cucina semplice ma sempre ottima. Il posto è stupendo. Grazie. I organized a summerschool with 20 participants and 8 tutors with my colleagues from the Politecnico di Milano. Really great hospitality. Food, availability, patience, participation, all wonderful and worked great. Simple but cozy rooms, clean and all with bathroom. Simple but always excellent cuisine. The place is gorgeous. Thanks.
