Il luogo è suggestivo , gli interni lo sono ancor di più con gli affreschi che si intervallano alla nuda pietra grigia. Un luogo dell'anima, un luogo di bellezza essenziale e raccoglimento. San Quirico, a small well-preserved gem, worth a visit. The chapel is almost always closed except during prefestive and festive functions. The place is evocative, the interiors are even more so with the frescoes that are interspersed with the bare gray stone. One place, a place of beauty and meditation essential.
S	Stefano Masnaghetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nonostante la sua posizione decentrata, San Quirico è probabilmente la più antica chiesa di Domodossola; risale addirittura all'XI Secolo e, sebbene abbia subito alcuni rifacimenti nel corso del tempo, il suo aspetto schiettamente romanico si è preservato fino ai giorni nostri. Esternamente non è mai stata offesa da intonacature posticce, con l'unica eccezione della parte superiore del campanile, e la pietra a vista conserva tuttora le decorazioni ad archetti pensili tipiche dell'architettura romanica, oltre a raffigurazioni di origine celtica che hanno fatto ipotizzare agli studiosi l'esistenza di un precedente tempio pagano. Non meno splendido è l'interno, impreziosito da affreschi risalenti ai Secoli XIV e XV, dai tratti squisitamente gotici e dai colori vividi. A catturare lo sguardo sono soprattutto quelli dell'abside e dell'arco trionfale. Despite its decentralized position, San Quirico is probably the oldest church in Domodossola; it even dates back to the 11th century and, although it has undergone some renovations over time, its purely Romanesque appearance has been preserved up to the present day. Externally it has never been offended by false plastering, with the sole exception of the upper part of the bell tower, and the exposed stone still retains the decorations with hanging arches typical of Romanesque architecture, as well as representations of Celtic origin that have led to the hypothesis scholars of the existence of a previous pagan temple. No less splendid is the interior, embellished with frescoes dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, with exquisitely Gothic features and vivid colors. Especially those of the apse and the triumphal arch catch the eye.

Di grande pregio sono gli affreschi del 1300 e 1400: indispensabile, quindi, visitarla in occasione della S. Messa, unica occasione di apertura. E' ben conservata grazie a notevoli restauri che hanno consolidato i muri (l'abside era già stata rinforzata nel 1500) ed eliminato alcune alterazioni fatte in passato. Sono rimasti, però, non originali il campanile e le aperture nella facciata che inizialmente era forse adiabasica cioè senza l'ingresso: si entrava dai lati nord e sud. Che dire, poi, delle consumate decorazioni celtiche provenienti forse da un antico tempio pagano? Very beautiful Romanesque church with 1000 years of history. It is well preserved thanks to significant restorations that consolidated the walls (the apse had already been reinforced in 1500) and eliminated some alterations made in the past. However, the bell tower and the openings in the facade which was initially adiabatic, that is, without the entrance, remained non-original: you entered from the north and south sides. What about the worn Celtic decorations perhaps from an ancient pagan temple?
