A	Alberto Tonnina on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Palazzo venne realizzato tra l'XI ed il XII secolo come convento, acquistato successivamente dagli Aldobrandeschi , passa per matrimonio dell'ultima erede agli Orsini sul finire del XIII secolo e trasformato in fortezza su progetto del Sangallo. Attualmente ospita il Museo e conserva molte opere d'arte racchiuse in ventuno sale. Si può visitare anche la Sala che conserva strumenti di tortura ed il sottostante Frantoio. In fondo ce un frantoio tipo antico. In this museum the life of Captain Niccolò Orsini, lord of this castle, is told. Being of the diocese there are also jewels of the church. At the bottom there is an ancient type oil mill.

Eravamo andati in gruppo e poichè con noi una donna anziana aveva difficoltà a fare le scale abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile usare l'ascensore per disabili come visibile dai cartelli. La richiesta è sembrata fuoriluogo...una serie di scuse e risposte a metà a testimoniare ancora una volta che purtroppo i soldi pubblici sono spesi per l immagine e non per la sostanza. Siamo andati a piedi. Solo dopo esser usciti abbiamo visto che si poteva visitare un altro museo con lo stesso biglietto. Nessuna spiegazione, mi chiedo a cosa serva una persona all ingresso. Poca gentilezza e 26 sale scarne senza descrizioni, suppongo quindi sia obbligatorio avere una guida a parte per poter fare una visita adeguata. Da visitare solo dopo essersi organizzati all'esterno. R	Roberta Critelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il palazzo esternamente è ristrutturato male, lo hanno stuccato di bianco. All'interno invece è meglio conservato. Sono presenti affreschi e soffitti in legno dipinti. Ci sono varie statue e dipinti. All'interno c'è un antico frantoio conservato benissimo, una pinacoteca una libreria, varie teche con oggetti e gioielli appartenuti agli orsini. C'è un piccolo museo delle torture e una terrazza da cui si può godere di un bel panorama. Il prezzo di solo 5 euro è irrisorio per un museo di 21 stanze. Sarebbe interessante inserire la possibilità di una guida a pagamento. Il percorso è comunque scorrevole e sono presenti dei pannelli esplicativi. Preferirei Anche un'Audio guida. C'è un bel cagnolone all'ingresso che è tenerissimo. Il personale è cordiale. The outside of the building is poorly restored, they have plastered it in white. Inside, however, it is better preserved. Inside there is an ancient oil mill well preserved, a picture gallery, a library, various display cases with objects and jewels that belonged to the Orsini. There is a small torture museum and a terrace from which you can enjoy a beautiful view. The price of only 5 euros is negligible for a 21-room museum. It would be interesting to include the possibility of a paid guide. However, the path is smooth and there are explanatory panels. I would also prefer an audio guide. There is a nice big dog at the entrance who is very tender. The staff are friendly.
