A	Andrea Dalla Valle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il faro è davvero impressionante con i suoi 70m, peccato che sia posto tra palazzacci di chiara edilizia popolare... come si può costruire cose del genere in posti come questi resterà sempre una delle domande irrisolte dell’Italia... comunque merita una capatina, anche la chiesetta posta a fianco alla struttura che funge da base per il faro merita! Unica pecca a mio avviso è l’impossibilità di poter visitare la struttura con salita alla cima, sarebbe un ottimo modo per raccogliere fondi per tenere il faro sempre ristrutturato, visto che da fuori si notano i segni del tempo! Anche perché da lassù si potrebbe davvero godere di una vista che in pochi posti al mondo si potrebbe ammirare! The lighthouse is really impressive with its 70m, a pity that it is placed between buildings of clear public housing ... how can you build such things in places like these will always remain one of Italy's unresolved questions ... however it deserves a visit , even the small church next to the structure that serves as the base for the lighthouse deserves! The only flaw in my opinion is the impossibility of being able to visit the structure with a climb to the top, it would be a great way to raise funds to keep the lighthouse always renovated, since from the outside you can see the signs of aging! Also because from up there you could really enjoy a view that in few places in the world you could admire!

Beautiful beach equipped with spaces with paid umbrellas and also free places. Sandy beach with a view of overflows and a crystal clear sea.

Il faro di Punta Penna è un faro marittimo italiano situato nel comune di Vasto, con i suoi 70 metri di altezza, è il secondo faro più alto d'Italia dopo la Lanterna di Genova. Il segnalamento si trova su un promontorio in via Madonna della Penna presso il porto di Vasto. Venne scelta questa località perché importante sotto il profilo strategico: secondo il parere dei tecnici, il sito costituiva un vero e proprio porto naturale, il più importante tra Ancona e Bari. Costruito nel 1906, più volte è stato oggetto di rifacimento. Infatti la struttura oggi visibile non è quella originale del 1906, ma una ricostruzione poiché nel 1944 l'esercito tedesco in ritirata distrusse in parte il vecchio faro. La demolizione venne completata due anni dopo e il 2 maggio 1948 fu inaugurato di nuovo. Costruito sul disegno di Olindo Tarcione, il faro si presenta come una costruzione in muratura a forma di torre; alla base vi è una costruzione di due piani in cui sono rimessi gli alloggi per le famiglie dei due responsabili che permanentemente si occupano del faro, che tuttora è presidiato, e alcuni uffici amministrativi. Una scala a chiocciola di 307 scalini conduce alla sommità. A wonderful place to admire the Punta Aderci park, the lighthouse, the tower seat of a command of the M. The Punta Penna lighthouse is an Italian maritime lighthouse located in the municipality of Vasto, with its 70 meters high, it is the second highest lighthouse in Italy after the Genoa Lantern. The signaling is located on a promontory in via Madonna della Penna near the port of Vasto. This location was chosen because it was important from a strategic point of view: in the opinion of the technicians, the site was a real natural port, the most important between Ancona and Bari. Built in 1906, it has been refurbished several times. In fact, the structure visible today is not the original one from 1906, but a reconstruction since in 1944 the retreating German army partially destroyed the old lighthouse. The demolition was completed two years later and on May 2, 1948 it was inaugurated again. Built on the design of Olindo Tarcione, the lighthouse looks like a masonry construction in the shape of a tower; at the base there is a two-storey building which houses the apartments for the families of the two managers who permanently look after the lighthouse, which is still manned today, and some administrative offices.
