β β β β β Surprisingly good museum for a city like Venice! The museum has dinosaurs, a good coverage of human development and lots of well presented animal displays. Certainly not the equivalent of New York or London, but a good place to take the kids for a break.

β β β β β I had so much fun with my 5 yrs old here. It was a perfect size for young kids, we spent more than 2 hours here. It was very educational to start the visit with an intro documentary. My daughter loved the fact that there were exhibits that allow touching, she got excited everything when she saw a "touch" sign. There is drinking water available in the garden, super convenient. Highly recommend.

β β β β β Incredible exhibit. If you're anti-poaching and pro biodiversity as I am. Don't eat before you go. Some rooms contain seriously challenging experiences.

β β β β β This is the most beautiful natural history museum I've ever been to, its sometimes more like a series of art installations than exhibits. I would have gone mad for this as a kid. 100% recommend a visit!

β β β β β Beautifully curated smaller museum! Loved the displays and cabinets. Really enjoyed the flow of the exhibits. Also it felt as though the taxidermy specimens are almost in motion.

β β β β β Really lovely tiny museum. It reminded me of the very cool museum of hunting and fishing in Paris, only less bijou amd Wes Anderson. A small paleontology and anthropology collection shown off to perfection. You will need 1.5hrs at least.
We enjoyed our boat ride there too and itβs only a 12 min walk from the best meatballs in Venice (trattoria ca DβOro alle vedova). Happy kids and parents.

β β β β β Museum is nice, but bot the most impressive I have ever visited. The first part is very kids friendly so it was quite impossible to see something due to a lot of kids running around. Animals and fishes especially look very unrealistic

β β β β β I loved the dinosaur part. The fossils and recreations were great, but as you continue through the museum it becomes more of a dead zoo. Way too many dead stuffed animals for me, but some might appreciate it I guess. Its a small museum but 8 euros is acceptable. Take the audio guide if you don't read Italian as there's no explanation in English.
