Si racconta che in vita fosse uno degli ultimi campanari di San Marco e che la sua statura spiccasse a tal punto da attirare l’attenzione del direttore di un istituto scientifico. Quest’ultimo infervorato dalle sue ricerche d’anatomia, propose all’uomo un’ingente somma di denaro in cambio del suo scheletro, che gli avrebbe restituito a morte avvenuta. Naturalmente il campanaro, di fronte a una tale somma di denaro, accettò, ma la notte stessa la morte lo colse, per un eccesso nel bere. Allo scoccare di mezzanotte pare che ritorni in vita per mendicare il denaro sufficiente per ricomprare se stesso e la sua libertà In the museum there seems to be the Zani skeleton. It is said that during his lifetime he was one of the last bell-ringers of San Marco and that his height stood out to the point of attracting the attention of the director of a scientific institute. The latter, infused with his anatomical research, proposed to the man a large sum of money in exchange for his skeleton, which would have returned to him after his death. Naturally the bell-ringer, in front of such a sum of money, accepted, but the same night the death caught him, for an excess in the drink. At the stroke of midnight it seems that he comes back to life to beg for enough money to buy back himself and his freedom

Lo consiglio a tutti i genitori con bambini alle elementari/medie Very nice museum to see !!!! I was there at the beginning of December 2012 with my children aged 3 and 8 and really enjoyed it. I recommend it to all parents with elementary / middle school children
I	Ilgallo Sultrespolo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Museo ben organizzato e pulito con varietà infinita di animali, di fossili e attrezzature storiche dall'evoluzione sapiens a quella umana. Tutto molto bello ed interessante, ma non tutti i nomi vi sono presenti ed alcune volte si deve immaginare ad indovinare su quello che si sta guardando. C'è una stanza rotonda del globo virtuale che mi ha incuriosito dagli effetti sonori ed un tecnologico sistema interattivo molto divertente e suggestivo adatto non solo per i più piccini. Il Museo è una tappa che consiglio per chi viene a visitare la bellissima Venezia ed interessante non solo per gli occhi di un bambino. Well organized and clean museum with an infinite variety of animals, fossils and historical equipment from the evolution of sapiens to the human one. All very nice and interesting, but not all the names are present and sometimes you have to imagine to guess what you are looking at. There is a round room on the virtual globe that intrigued me with the sound effects and a very fun and suggestive technological interactive system suitable not only for the little ones. The Museum is a step that I recommend for those coming to visit the beautiful Venice and interesting not only for the eyes of a child.

Ci sono fossili e tanti animali che non è possibile vedere in natura. Complimenti. Prendete il biglietto "Venezia pass musei" perchè è veramente conveniente (sono 11 musei al prezzo di poco più di uno) Well organized, we loved it, especially in the part of the African animal collections. Nice clean and cared for. There are fossils and so many animals that you can't see in nature. Congratulations. Take the "Venice museum pass" ticket because it is really convenient (there are 11 museums for the price of just over one)

Usate l'audioguida per i bimbi. L'introduzione è un po' lunga, ma poi è interessante e ben equilibrata. Gentilissimo il personale alla biglietteria (sabato 26/03/2017). Highly recommended for families. The preparation of the first part is very suggestive, but also the most traditional and historical part of the museum is very beautiful. Use the audio guide for children. The introduction is a bit long, but then it is interesting and well balanced. Very kind staff at the ticket office (Saturday 26/03/2017).

a	albena naydenova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely museum, is not huge but is not small either. Nicely done , clean and tidy. I recomend buying Museum pass as entrance fee is included. Also advise ro everyone visiting Venice BUY Museum pass online - include 10 museums and saves you a lot!

The museum is packed with all sorts of animals from across the world, including one huge room dedicated to Africa. One of the better natural history museums we've seen. If you've got time and even a passing interest, a must see.
