★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This monument to Sandro Pertini, the most loved president of the Republic of Italy, was set up in 1990. It's a strategic position in the "quadrilatero della moda", at the busy cross Road of Montenapoleone and Manzoni, it's a quite area to relax and meet friends in the square. After that, Giorgio Armani invested millions to create the Giorgio Armani building with hotel, restorant and luxury shop facing on this square. I recommend visiting the square in a sunny day and just seat to watch the busy road of luxury Montenapoleone. Compared to Rome, where you find many ancient monuments with fountains, there are very few fountains in Milan and probably this is the latest one built in modern times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The monument designed by Aldo Rossi is isolated from the busy shopping streets of Milan. It’s a cube within a public square, one half is dedicated for the fountain while the other half is stepped. You can sit on different levels and experience listening to the flowing water.
