★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great dining experience. We had sea food with Pasta and everything was outstanding with bright well balance flavors. You could tell the sea food was very fresh. Out host was very helpful and gave great recommendations. I felt like we got out money’s worth and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a high end meal with a reasonable price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing restaurant. We booked on the night and got a table at the bar which was really fun as we could see into the kitchen. Staff were great and the food was delicous. Pesto and shrimp pasta and Monkfish were both fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an experience, authentic fish village/market restaurant. No fancy clothes need just a good appetite. You won't regret ordering anything from the menu, everything is fresh and homemade ? ? This is a restaurant "must to visit " on your list if you are in Siracusa. Booking before is recommended but the amazing stuff will certainly try to find you a table if you just pop up without booking like it happened to us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When the temperature is in the high 30s and it’s lunch time, the idea of sitting inside a restaurant with air-con suddenly becomes very appealing.
I was staying for a couple of days at Syracuse on Sicily and just before heading to the airport eight of us had a light Sunday lunch at La Lisca. Their website is minimalist so the link above is to their Facebook page.
Most of us only had one course each, in my case Octopus with purée potatoes and spinach. It was simple and simply delicious. The octopus was perfectly cooked and the purée as smooth as can be.
Picture stolen from their Facebook page!
Beyond the excellence of that one plate of food though, La Lisca offers much more in terms of being a serious food place. The menu is extensive and majors on fish and seafood. The chap in charge was clearly knowledgeable and facilitated the desires of the group with a sense of hospitality, efficiency and good humour and the overall sense is of eating well – at VERY reasonable prices.
My only regret was not having a starter and particularly not having the raw violet prawns from the just over the other side of the sea wall.
Go to Sicily and if you do, be sure to visit Syracuse and eat at La Lisca at least once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best. I had the raw fish starter plate as a lunch main and it was superb. An excellent recommendation from the super helpful and kind waitress. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Try it yourself but I thought it was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Generally good quality of the fish, especially the raw one and the octopus. However, presentation and size of the portions could be improved. Overall a bit overpriced for the area. The dessert (pistachio cream) is not to recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible Restaurant!!! Wow! First of all, the restaurant is very rich in history! It all started 100 years ago when the family was running a fish store on the fish market right at the place where it is now! A couple of years back they moved the store and opened the restaurant … thank god for this decision!
This is not a regular fish restaurant that is super fancy and expensive, with white tablecloth only for the richest! This is an awesome, cozy, heartwarming restaurant for everyone!
You should ask for Francesco so that he can explain their signature dishes and the fitting wine! We ended up with some awesome raw fish platter, seafood carbonara and the octopus .. paired with an Etna Rosé, not with a white wine, like you might expect. Everything was awesome! The whole experience. Food. Drinks. Staff.
Francesco was also really eager to help us out with other recommendations across the whole island for Bars, Restaurants, Events, Wine Yards and much more! Thank you so much!
I hope, when we come back next time, we can call you Ciccio ✌️
