P	Pier Sing on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ?...debated for a while if 2 or 3 stars. we didnt have reservation, they gave us an indoor table saying aircon was in there... wasnt strong enough, barely felt it. didnt go for specials (I'm sure they were good but pricey) so went for the on the menu std. all was just average, not awful at all but not tasting super delicious either. place was very busy so was hard to get a hold on the staff. Grillo white whine by the glass good, they opened a new bottle in front of us (that's always nice to see). it's in ortigia so i guess that s in the bill too...

The food was excellent, both pasta and fish dishes. We had starters, main and dessert. All were excellent. The tuna was perfectly cooked, served with just tomatoes which tasted great. Accompanying white wine was nice too. The prices are good. Excellent value for money on the desserts and the cocktails. Recommended!
M	Maksim Minkov on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the nicest places to eat in Ortigia. Food was absolutely delicious. I would recommend the grilled octopus. It's a restaurant different that you would get from the standard tourist places. Staff was very friendly and explained all the menu in details.

We had raw and roasted prawns for starter. Both were very good, but we cherish the invention of fire thus prefered roasted. The next dish was Mediterranean lobster that was lost in pasta and smoked tuna with figs (pasta dish as well) that was delicious. It’s pity to combine lobster with pasta but we relied on professional advice. As children were not so much in favour of provided (children are separate story) we ordered them desserts that they liked. It was all fine, waiter very talkative, food ok… until we got the bill (170 €). In my opinion, we paid too much considering that we ate 6 prawns, Mediterranean lobster, a bit of tuna and two small desserts and drank two glasses of wine and two soft drinks. The plating was very modest and taste from very average to good (roasted shrimps and tuna pasta could be classified as delicious).

They were also very accommodating to any dietary restriction, offering gluten-free substitutions for their pasta dishes. The food came just too fast, which impacted our experience. We were in and out of the restaurant in less than 45 minutes. We also were slightly disappointed in the flavor of the dishes. I’d give it another shot but unfortunately we were expecting a bit more!
