 Very good and crunchy focaccia. I recommend the menus for β¬ 10 and β¬ 13 (seen from the castle website), as in addition to food, drink and coffee, the ticket for the entrance is included.

β β β β β We arrived to the restaurant, all the tables were taken. The waitress told us we could wait for a table. Some people left and a couple arrived and took it in front of us, the waitress did nothing about it.

β β β β β Nice meats and cheese plater with local addition washed down with a spritz! Good value and well deserved after walking up from Varenna! Shop sells a good range of gifts, food stuff such as honey and Postscard and novelties

β β β β β The Gnocchi I had here was one of the very best! A refreshing lunch after a very tiring hike up to the castle. Would definitely recommend stopping here for lunch.

β β β β β Unexpectedly nice place at the entrance of the castle. There are 3 menu options (β¬10, β¬12.50 and β¬15) which include the β¬5 access to the castle. We took the cheapest and the most expensive one which gave us more than decent foccacia and a big plate of meat and cheese (photo) + 2 drinks and 2 coffees. Good value for money, the view is pretty ok, though blocked by trees, service not the fastest, but not problematic.
