Fantastic location, amazing pizza, good service. Five stars!

Pizza and mojito was good, the view was stunning, service was fast and polite.

We have Looking at the web service prices on the web, they do not correspond to the exposed prices that are unclear and contradictory. The lifeguard, kind of apologized for the inconvenience and the prices, giving us reason and, a present lady told us that the prices are unworthy, the same thing we thought. We turned to the staff of the beach, the kind boys, but the rude, arrogant and presumptuous owner, not suited to catering service. It doesn't even deserve a star. I am very sorry because for over 20 years I have been attending the Varenna beach and from today no more. The owners know, there were at least 100 Cot and sometimes you couldn't get there in time! Today only 4 sunbeds and two umbrellas ... it will be a case, but there is the sun and they have lost all the customers for whom it was a reference point for many. Well, 4 minutes by train we found the Lido de Bellano, swimming pool, umbrella, deck chairs at a reasonable price with bar available with regular prices and like a bar in a beach. Recommended Bellano, not recommended Varenna. At the sea in Liguria, the sunbed and deckchair costs less than in Varenna ... think and evaluate ... you look for ease, welcome and a smile ... missing qualities! Message for restaurateurs, criticisms serve to improve your work, you are at the service of people who pay, not in your villa. P.S. Il bagnino, in qualche modo si è scusato per l'inconveniente e i prezzi, dandoci ragione e, una signora presente ci ha detto che i prezzi sono indegni, la stessa cosa che abbiamo pensato. Ci siamo rivolti al personale della spiaggia, i ragazzi gentili, ma il proprietario scortese, arrogante e presuntuoso, non adatto al servizio di catering. Non merita nemmeno una stella. Mi dispiace molto perché da oltre 20 anni frequento la spiaggia di Varenna e da oggi non più. I proprietari sanno che ce n'erano almeno 100 Culla e talvolta non ci si arriva in tempo! Oggi solo 4 lettini e due ombrelloni ... sarà un caso, ma c'è il sole e hanno perso tutti i clienti per i quali è stato un punto di riferimento per molti. Bene, a 4 minuti di treno abbiamo trovato il Lido de Bellano, la piscina, l'ombrellone, le sedie a sdraio a un prezzo ragionevole con un bar disponibile a prezzi regolari e come un bar in una spiaggia. Bellano consigliato, non raccomandato Varenna. Al mare in Liguria, il lettino e la sdraio costano meno che a Varenna ... pensa e valuta ... cerchi facilità, accoglienza e un sorriso ... qualità mancanti! Messaggio per i ristoratori, le critiche servono a migliorare il tuo lavoro, sei al servizio delle persone che pagano, non nella tua villa. Fancy paying 3.5 euros to swim in a tiny, shallow shaded corner of the lake? Don't want to be allowed to even sit on a lounger for that money? Like it when the only benefit you get from the money, a lifeguard, is barely ever actually watching the lake and prefers mooching around looking at his phone? (Who needs a quick rescue if something goes wrong anyway?) If so, then this is the place for you!

We booked in advance and the website said they would have taken the credits once we booked. Then they cancelled our booking without telling us. They said anyway they didn't take the credits from my card, so they could cancel it if we did arrive at 11: 00 which is not informed on the website. The service people are rude too. Selling the seats twice is really a disgusting and dishonest move.（reply to the business: nothing on the website mentioned that if I don't arrive before 12. 30 my reservation would be CANCELLED. In fact, your service people told me my seats were ALREADY CANCELLED AT 11.00AM. Please run an honest business! There are so many foreigners around and you are shaming Italy. ）

We took a ferry ride just to go to this place last weekend and drove for ages to look for parking, only to turn up with the place half full, with the staff refusing to serve us and when they did they rudely turned us away saying that there’s no space. The sun beds were hardly taken, and the restaurant wasn’t busy. They were happy to serve locals, however as tourist we felt very neglected and unwanted. A terrible place to even consider going to. The area is quite small, so you will drive around in circles looking for parking so the best place to park is the car park than on street free/paid parking. If I could give this place a zero, I would.

Nice "beach" and bar. Fair prices for umbrellas and sunbeds (5€ each). If you want to swim in the lake in varenna, this is your best option.
