★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've heard about this place for 2 years a d finally had an opportunity to enjoy Il Monastero in Viterbo. Oh my goodness, it's even better than I imagined. I'm a thin-crust girl, and this crust is the best. Definitely free form, with even the "piccolo" overflowing the large plates. The large pizza is served on TWO dinner plates, side by side. Toppings are ample and varied - about 30 from which to choose. Our table did mostly half-and-half, among them being anchovie and mozzerella with tomato sauce, sweet multi-colored bell peppers, potato and sausage with cheese and an exquisite basil pesto with mozzerella. The pizzas are delivered within about 5 minutes and are perfect. And there are desserts: the ones we shared included the Bounty Torta - sort of a Mounds Bar in cheesecake form. It took us 2 hours of research and translating to find a recipe on line. If you're within the wall - or not - try Il Monastera in Viterbo, Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When living in Viterbo I ate this pizza everyday basically. It is the best pizza I have ever had. I make a point to come here whenever I am in town. I love the atmosphere and the workers. If visiting Viterbo, this place is a must.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can have a double pizza!! They make a very long pizza with two different toppings. The pizza is so long that fits 2 pizza plates. It is very thin as it is the same dough used for a single pizza but overstretched

They serve pizza here on two big dinnerplates, they are that big.
Next to that they are also very tastefull pizza's.
Also a good service, but come on time, as they fill up with customers fast.
If you come to Viterbo, you owe it to your self to come here at least one time.
