Came here on a school trip and I had a great experience. We arrived at 10pm. The dinner lasted until 9pm, but they kept it open until 10 just for us. Great views from each side of the hotel. Interestingly there was also a amphitheater connected to the hotel. Cheap prices, great staff. Would come here again.

I highly recommend Hotel Dei Duchi to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price. If you are looking for a hotel that is central to the attractions this hotel fits that criteria also. The food is fantastic too! Great scenic views from the rooms and the beautiful terraces make it even nicer. My room was facing an ancient roman amphitheater and one night I was able to watch a live performance from my terrace! Great experience and very friendly staff.

I stayed 2 nights in this hotel in September 2019. Location: This hotel is located in the small and historic city of Spoleto, in the region known as Umbria. The hotel is fairly central to the historic part of the city, within easy walk of the cathedral, castle and roman aqueduct. From the hotel, most rooms have beautiful views over green and tree covered rolling hills. It is a very picturesque part of central Italy. Check-in: I was travelling on a bus tour, so check-in was done by our tour director. Room Facilities: The rooms here are good a size, neither the biggest or smallest rooms I encountered whilst touring Italy. The room dΓ©cor is fairly bland on Italian standards, but the room was well provisioned with storage and good features, making it functional if not particular full of class or character. The bed was comfortable enough, although similar to most Italian hotel beds, it was marginally firmer than I like. The room was quiet, with magnificent views from the window showing off the the surrounding city and countryside. Right outside my room was a Roman amphitheater that was completed in 5 AD. Being so close to such an amazing piece of history blew me away. The complimentary Wi-Fi was easy to connect, although it was a little slow. The bathroom was an adequate size, but the shower was over the bath. I always prefer a separate shower to avoid the risk of slipping whilst getting in or out of the bath. Breakfast: Breakfast was quite adequate without being amazing. It certainly was enough to get the day off to a good start. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-out: Same as check-in, performed by our tour director. Overall: A nice hotel that I would probably stay at again.

Our first choice of emergency accommodation when our vehicle broke down and we had to wait for repairs. They were very helpful when we had to keep extending our stay, juggling other bookings around so that we didn't have to move rooms. Lovely buffet breakfast included in the price. Great dinner in restaurant where we ate one night. All staff very friendly and helpful: the owner, restaurant staff, receptionists and housekeeping. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Spoleto. Lovely big rooms, great views, very convenient location.

On our school trip, the kitchen was scheduled to be closed at 9:00pm, and we arrived at 10:00pm but they waited for us. They staff there was very friendly and helpful. The chef there, Luigi made excellent food. I enjoy the view from the terrace of the medieval city Spoleto is. The hotel is very affordable for any tourist. I highly recommend it!

Apart for being locate really well near the very centre of the city, the hotel is far from delivering a 4 star experience. The rooms are poorly appointed, they are for sure what happens when you don't use an architect to design a place. The suite we stayed is awkwardly designed with internal doors that risk to lock you out if you leave the key inside. Furniture is clean but bland, old and for sure far from cozy. Everything works fine, but it does not deliver any sense of luxury or class.
