My American friend and I bumped into β€œCantina e Corvi” while exploring Spoleto during a bicycle trip across central Italy! We were warmly welcomed despite our early arrival and fatigued appearance and messy equipment. We went for two antipasti, Melanzane alla Parmigiana and Truffle Egg scramble, one more delicious than the other, wonderfully presented. We also got one of the best seafood pasta we’ve ever had in our lives. All accompanied by a glass of Prosecco. Truly friendly service and owners, an excellent meal in a splendid surroundings (a magnificent courtyard with fruits trees and flowers). More than reasonably priced and generous portions. Don’t look for anything else in the area!

A truly great restaurant, owned and ran by a wonderful couple. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the owners/chef were so friendly and happy to have a chat with us. The seasonal dishes that we had were full or flavor and left you satisfied. Appetizers: flan with mushrooms and tartufo, eggs with tartufo (fantastic and I don’t even like tartufo); Main dishes: homemade pasta with wild boar and another dish with rabbit; Dessert (all made in house): semi-freddo with berries and torte with pear and ricotta (very light and yummy!). I will happy recommend this place to anyone and hopefully return myself!

2nd visit was even better than the first. The mushroom starter comes highly recommended, all our seconde devoured and enjoyed and the chestnut and walnut ice-cream blew us away for both taste and presentation. Thanks to the proprietor who was so friendly and welcoming. We shall definitely be planning visit 3.

Great meal, excellent service Our host was very genial and the food was typical Umbrian fare with good eggplant parmegiana, roast pork and luscious mussels. the jam session on the guitars at the end was a joy.

What a treat! We wanted to dine out for the last evening of our holiday, and chose to make a reservation in the Cantina de Corvi, Spoleto. The reception was very welcoming, all was tip-top. I am ashamed of my lack of knowledge of Italian, yet was welcomed in very good English. Seeing the guitars in front of the counter, I found out we had a passion in common: guitar playing. But this was all about having a genuine Umbrian - Spoleto tate experience, and it was right - on! The antipasti dish was plenty for the five of us although is was mentioned to be a 2 person plate. The steak ws excellent, and cooked rare as asked. Both tastes - with olive oil or truffeled - were spot - on, accompanied with the right wine. The (fresh home - made) pasta dish with seafood was exquisit, with a radiant white wine. Two of us went for the meat balls: what a treat, and plenty of it! This certainly is a place to go back to. When the chef asked me to play some guitar before leaving, I happily did, and we had more fun. Once you get to know the quality of the food served here, you want to get back to taste more. One tip for the owner: exchange the guitar strings to improve the sound. Besides that: happy customers here!

TL;DR: You're doing yourself a disservice by not visiting Cantina de' Corvi. My wife and I came here for dinner at the end of our time in Spoleto, and everything was perfect. The Cellar of Crows (excellent name) is gorgeous, the music set the atmosphere well, and the food was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. I've been all around the world: Japan, Wales, the Phillipines, Korea, the Caribean, and now Italy, and I've been to several Michelin restaurants in that time. So when I say that this is the best food I've ever had, you should take note. Additionally, our host was incredibly charming and helpful. Helpful in the sense that his recommended local wine and dessert were incredible, and charming in the sense that I would follow this man into battle. Charisma for days, and his English is MUCH better than our Italian (scusate!). What we had: Primi- -Strangozzi tirati a mano alla Spoletina: simple, and executed perfectly. -Fettucine al cinghiale brasato al Sangiovese Bio: the boar was incredibly tender, and the wine sauce had such depth of flavor. Carni- -Petto d' Anatra con crema di patate all'arancia e riduzione di Sangviose Bio: I can only use the word perfect so much, but the duck was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was a symphony of flavors. Candied orange peel, creamed potato, wine, and balsamic reduced onions... Incredible. Dessert was a slice of cheesecake with pear and ricotta, which was recommended, and also the walnut and chestnut ice cream. Both were fantastic, but if I had to pick one I'd say go with the cheesecake. All said, Spoleto was a wonderful time with wonderful food!
