★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grotta Palombara, una grotta di grande impatto, entra di diritto tra le meraviglie da visitare almeno una volta nella vita, straordinaria se vista dal mare con una delle tante escursioni estive che partono dal porto principale di Castro Marina. La grotta ha un'imponente cavità lunga 75mt, larga 18 e alta 30mt, con una profondità del mare di circa 10mt. Formatasi dal crollo di massi, e viene chiamata Grotta Palombara perchè i colombi riuscirono a nidificare all’interno delle rocce.
È possibile anche fotografare la grotta attraversando il sentiero del pescatore.
Grotta Palombara, a cave of great impact, enters right among the wonders to visit at least once in life, extraordinary if seen from the sea with one of the many summer excursions that leave from the main port of Castro Marina. The cave has an imposing 75mt long cavity, 18m wide and 30mt high, with a sea depth of about 10mt. Formed by the collapse of boulders, it is called Palombara Cave because the pigeons managed to nest inside the rocks.
It is also possible to photograph the cave by crossing the fisherman's path.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se si è in vacanza da quelle parti vale la pena visitare le grotte, la visita dura poco. Consiglio di andare versi l'ora di pranzo in quanto si possono ammirare meglio i colori dell'acqua.
If you are on holiday in those parts it is worth visiting the caves, the visit does not last long. I recommend going around lunchtime as you can better admire the colors of the water.
