O	Oreste Casciaro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una volta era un meraviglioso boschetto pieno di macchia mediterranea, querce e pini, una volta c'erano cartelli esplicativi dove c'era la descrizione della flora e fauna selvatica posto, c'erano attrezzi per esercizi a corpo libero. Ora è tutto abbandonato ed allo sbando totale, senza nessuna manutenzione degna di questo nome, ma chi lo gestisce? Chi si dovrebbe occupare di una corretta manutenzione? Negli anni la vegetazione è diminuita ma il bosco dei lecci è una rara testimonianza dei lembi boschivi lungo la fascia della costa orientale del Salento. Si presenta cinto con muretti a secco. Si costituisce da una ricca vegetazione di alberi di alto fusto, quasi esclusivamente querce di antica piantumazione, e da un fitto sottobosco con tipiche essenze della macchia mediterranea. Parco delle Querce or Parco della Scarra, is the largest park in the city of Castro. Il Bar all'ingresso é di cattiva impressione e di non curanza di cio che sta intorno e potrebbe dare valore aggiunto ad un paese che ben poco offre al turista se non cio che la natura da millenni mette a disposizione Vergogarsi é a dir poco Very bad weed and weeds The inability to make tourism in Salento is embodied by this place. È stato inserito un percorso di esercizi all aria aperta ormai abbandonato a sé stesso e molti atrezzi non più utilizzabili (perché il legno marcisce). I tavoli all'interno del parco e le panchine non sono più presenti (Se non in degrado). I cartelloni espositivi con le specie osservabili ormai sono distrutti e non sono più presenti. Le postazioni di osservazione non esistono e il percorso dentro al bosco è stato molto ridotto. The park is a small wood on the castro descent. L unica nota positiva é il bar all' ingresso. I bagni che sono ancora praticabili. Possibile portare i cani.
