★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ottima pizza, ma se arriva dopo le 18 e chiedi un aperitivo ti segnano il tempo perché poi ai trasforma in un ristorante. Se chiedi pizza prima delle 18, non ne danno. Una volta ho chiesto un caffè con della focaccia, hanno avuto la triste idea di riscaldarla...magari troppo ed era completamente secca.
 Excellent pizza, but if it arrives after 6pm and you ask for an aperitif, they will mark the time because it turns it into a restaurant. If you ask for pizza before 6pm, they don't give any. Once I asked for a coffee with focaccia, they had the sad idea to heat it up ... maybe too much and it was completely dry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piatti di mare veramente buoni con porzioni abbondanti, vista incantevole, personale simpatico e cortese, buoni dolci. Possibilità di avere anche menù per bambini. Se andate il sabato o la domenica mettetevi davanti all'entrata alle 12 se non volete stare in coda ad aspettare un tavolo....nei giorni di sabato e domenica non è possibile prenotare.
Really good seafood dishes with generous portions, lovely views, nice and courteous staff, good desserts. Possibility of also having children's menus. If you go on Saturday or Sunday, stand in front of the entrance at 12 if you don't want to wait in a queue to wait for a table .... on Saturday and Sunday it is not possible to book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very unfriendly stuff. Nobodys smiling and if anyone permits himself to ask a question, the answer makes people feeling like idiots. Sad because the place is nice and a smile sholuldnt be a hard thing to do...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il gabbiano has become my favorite food spot during my journeys in Portovenere. Despite its position that needs a very short transfer by boat, the view, the menu, the service and the quality of the ingredients deserves a visit. Prices are absolutely in line with the expectations. Reservations recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible service and rude. We waited 20 minutes standing awkwardly and watching other people be attended to and seated while he told us that he would prepare the table. It was a table for 2.. We watched him see to everyone else the entire time before we finally walked away in disgust. Didn't even get to taste the food.. Another tourist trap. Stay away

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most expensive beach on Ligurian coast we’ve gone so far. Paid 19 eur for the beach amenities per person and 1 eur each time you want to use shower. Staff didn’t inform how the shower works when we paid, so we had to go there again after swimming and ask. “Hot water doesn’t work because of the problem with solar panels” - was written on the door.
