Amazing restaurant with homemade food, exquisite pesto and fish. Cheap for how delicious it is

Food was very tasty although it does get very noisy if you sit downstairs in the 'cellar' and there were a lot of flies, a number of them which kept going in my drink! All of the locals were given the specials board to look through but we didn't (presumably as we couldn't speak great Italian) which felt a real shame. Overall a 4 star seems fair.

We went in the middle of the week and they asked if we had a reservation, we said no, fair enough we could go back any other day, but the way the guy treated us was just arrogant and snobby, he closed the book, shrug his shoulder in a such disgusting way and turned back as if we were there begging, later my bf called them to make a reservation for another day, he didn't even wait for him to say the day, he said "it is full" and hung up. Hey man, you don't treat people in that way, learn to have respect and manners, your are not on top of the mountain. Disgusting manners. I will never spend a dime of my money there and I will make sure none of my friends do either. Replying to your reply: Every one can see "Excellent Customer Service"!!! Well Done!! Good luck with your small business and attitude!

My boyfriend and I stayed into La Spezia for 6 nights and we came here twice as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The food is reasonably priced, the quality is amazing and the ambience is also great. We would recommend the Tagliolini with mussels in particular. The service is also very efficient. I would say to make a reservation in advance though as it is often fully booked.

Fresh food, mainly fish dishes. Pretty crowded place. Booking a table is very recommendable.

One of the oldest restaurants in the city center of La Spezia offering a variety of both sea and ground dishes from local traditional recipes. I ordered the Tagliolini with squid ink, mussels and a light tomato sauce, as for second course was the BaccalΓ  fried bites and desert was the homemade tiramisΓΉ. Menu may vary by season but the quality is always excellent. Expect to book prior to your visit as this restaurant is very much loved by locals as well and finding a table might not always be easy.

We went here at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It was a cold night but it was so warm and cozy inside. Great buzz, excellent service. We are anchovies, pasta with pesto, pasta with seafood, wild boar and vitello tonato. All great but a word of warning. Portions are larger and we ordered way too much food!

Excellent pasta dishes - I recommend the pesto and seafood ones, so delicious that I would want to go back someday. The price of the pasta dish is also unbeatable (9€ per dish). The anchovies (4 ways) starter is also nice to try. For dessert, we had Tiramisu (4€) also wonderful. Make sure you make a reservation beforehand as it is a super popular gem among locals and tourists!
