Located on the opposite side of the Foro Romano, this Foro is not so large, but very impressive too. You don't have to pay to visit it from the balcony on the avenue. At night the place is iluminated and very beautiful to see. Its columns and central building are quite well preserved (remember it's age and what it endured since its construction) and impressive.

Very beautiful place to go and visit with the family. A lot of walking involved but well worth it.

The most amazing thing to do in Rome! Take the time, go to buy the tickets there. Great way to really picture what the ruins looked like in ancient times. Video, sound. Astounding

Interesting ruins, it’s just a shame there are barriers up all around it and limited signage. That said, it’s only a couple of minutes walk from the Colosseum so it’s worth checking out if your in the area.

We had tickets for the evening light show for here. It was good. We had the tickets for forum of Caesar and Augustus. The Caesar experience was the best you walked round and it was more immersive. The information was repeated at the second light show which was just seated and the equipment was faulty and kept cutting out. I’d just do one or the other next time depending on your preference for seating or walking a round. Definitely more fun than just looking around more ruins that can get a bit boring after a while in Rome.

I stayed down the road from this ruin. The lights at night illuminate the whole place, and I think there is a laser show at times. Most of it looked like they were doing some preservation to it on the back side of it near the Forum Hotel. One side has some bleachers so you can see and look at it. It is a large section of a city block, and to walk all the way around it will take about 15 mins. It was built to honor Mars and I believe the Romans met here before battle.

The italians have done a wonderful job of preserving their cultural heritage sites, and this is a wonderful example of a well restored and preserved site which everyone can admire, even when simply driving on the Via dei Fori Imperiali. Of course, the Fori Imperiali (Roman Forum) just accross the street as well as the nearby Palatine Hill and Collosseum are must-see, do take the time to swing by the Forum of Augustus for a quick look. It's also beautifully illuminated at night!

Unbelievable architecture! Just found out it was built in 2 b.c. year, or in 5509 year. This is amazing, a true beauty. Impressed how humans could build such enormous buildings so many years ago. Best photos: during the day and at night (check my images). Plan your sightseeing so that you will start from the Forum, then Colosseum, Palatine Hill and closing with Capitoline Hill. ?
