Gluten Free Food Tour We had the joy of having a personal tour with our guide as we were the only two people who had booked. This could have been a little awkward but due to our guide Julia having such a great attitude and her English being so good, we had a really enjoyable evening. Not only was the tour really interesting as we were shown around the little back streets of Rome, but we were able to enjoy a wonderful selection of food dishes washed down with a selection of wines and beer. Highly recommended!

The best thing about a food tour is that you feel so taken care of. Everything is done in advance and you show up, sample the delicious food, and socialize. It ended up being just our family with Giorgia and we were able to get to know her and her take on the city. Giorgia was very good about finding food that was gluten free. I was happy we went on the beginning of our trip since we could return to the restaurants we liked the most and WE DID. The best was the pizza stop followed by the wine stop.

My mother, godmother and I went on this tour during a vacation in Italy last summer and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The tour was so extensive, so fully of history and culture and most of all FOOD! We ate so much at every stop and enjoyed such a variety of options, each one just as if not more delicious than the next. Our guide was so kind, personable and knowledgeable, and so passionate about what she did, it enriched the entire experience all the more. Would highly highly recommend!

This outing was the perfect way to end my stay in Rome. Our guide, Giorgia was wonderful. I loved seeing Trastevere, which was not a part of the city I had visited. The food was delicious and the history and street art was very interesting. I highly recommend this tour.

Stayed near the Pantheon and went on the Jewish ghetto/Campo de’ Fiori tour the first night visiting. Was a great way to familiarize ourselves with the neighborhood and try some great food along the way.

Food tours are our favorites. This was one of the best ever. Our guide Giorgia was passionate, knowledgeable and has an effervescent personality. And she took an interest in us as people and not just tourists she was herding from site to site. We learned a lot and enjoyed many different types of local oils, wine, beer, espresso and food dishes. Skip breakfast and come hungry. Oh yea! we saw great sites such as Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo De' Fiori Market.

OK, I have found my next husband. Or boyfriend. My spouse does not mind. On a food+ tour of the San Giovanni/Appio neighborhood with Giorgia, we met Francesco Loreti at his mind-blowing cheese shop (La Formaggeria) at the excellent local market. We stayed far too long, enjoying one another's company, being introduced to local chefs neighborhood characters. Francesco loves cheese beyond measure and is humble about his extraordinary position as an international judge. He even made us try a terrific English cheese, this year awarded first prize, best in the world. And he is so cute, don't you think? But wait, there was MUCH more... Pizza with the freshest mozzarella & basil. Then pasta and a perfect frascati superiore wine for lunch at a beloved area ristorante, Roberto & Loretta. There we ran into theatre, film and TV star Leo Gullotta!!! He was sitting quietly at a table next to us, acknowledging greetings politely, comfortable because no one fussed or annoyed him. We pulled ourselves away to sample some of Italy's best gelato down the block at Riva Reno. I had two flavors - tart, fresh limone and sweet fragola (strawberry). Van had toasted pine nut and morena (fior di latte with black cherry) con panna (with whipped cream). Then we wrapped up the afternoon at the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano -- a place we have always meant to see, the Pope's first residence and church. Our guide Giorgia is such a sweet and lovely young lady from Calabria. She made us promise to visit her mountains, the sea, and other attractions in the far south some time soon. She even sent us links to some of her favorite Italian singers and songs. It was such a personal, meaningful tour - once again - from a wonderful company.
