La vasca della fontana, ha una forma rettangolare ed è costituita di laterizi, il bordo arrotondato è invece in travertino, come due piedistalli laterali sormontati da sfere, sui blocchi è posta una stella a cinque punte, nel cui centro spuntano delle cannelle, dalle quali sgorga l’acqua che si riversa sulla vasca. In caso di fuoriuscita dell’acqua dalla vasca, sono presenti a fior di terra delle apposite aperture. Al centro è posto addossato al muro è posto lo stemma del comune di Roma, con la classica scritta SPQR e sulla base l’anno di edificazione MDCCCLXXXVI (1896). Un tempo, come ulteriore ornamento, vi era una corona sopra lo stemma, è stata trafugata nei primi anni del 2000. NOTA: La fontana ha la forma di un abbeveratoio, poiché alla fine del XIX secolo, ancora pascolavano dei greggi di pecore o transitavano altri animali per Piazzale Flaminio. The "Fountain of Piazzale Flaminio" is located on the right of the external part of the "Porta del Popolo", in the district IV of Campo Marzio. The basin of the fountain, has a rectangular shape and is made of bricks, the rounded edge is instead travertine, as two lateral pedestals surmounted by spheres, on the blocks is placed a five-pointed star, in whose center sprouting of spouts, from which the water that flows on the tub gushes out. In case of water leakage from the tub, they are present at ground level of the openings. At the center it is placed against the wall is placed the emblem of the town of Rome, with the classic SPQR and based on the year of MDCCCLXXXVI building (1896). At one time, as an additional ornament, there was a crown above the coat of arms, was stolen in the early 2000s. NOTE: The fountain has the shape of a drinking trough, since at the end of the 19th century, flocks of sheep still grazed or other animals passed through Piazzale Flaminio.
