★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I bought a cross-body bag and three zippered pouches here and was happy enough with that, but then I started talking with Giuseppe and Isabella about a backpack I'd been looking for, something well made with many compartments. So Giuseppe sketched it out and made it for me! I was in the shop the first week of October and it arrived in NY today, better than I imagined it: great leather, beautifully made, a great price for exactly what I was looking for. Grazie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place while roaming around in Trastevere waiting for Roma Sparita to open for dinner. A highlight of our night meeting Ciupetti and Isabella who make their own leather goods behind the counter in his tiny workshop. Ironically went into the store drawn in by the clever magnets displayed on the window. Saw the quality leather and very reasonable prices, thought they were mass produced goods like in other gift shops, saw the workshop and customizations and realized they were made right there. Will absolutely recommend to friends and family who come here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a MUST visit if you need some hand made leather goods. I needed a belt and they happened to be near the restaurant we were at, but I’d take a long trip out of the way to visit. Giuseppe and his wife Isabella are sweet as honey. They love what they do and were so fun to spend time with, even with a language barrier. The belt I got is of exceedingly high quality and hand made, and they even take the time to cut every belt to size, change the buckle if you don’t like it, and punch the holes to your exact fit (plus a few sizes up for “fettuccini and lasagna”). Thank you Giuseppe and Isabella!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giuseppe is amazing. He and his wife make the leather goods in the shop and the leather is beautiful, well priced, and of good quality. Aside for his talent, he is a real sweetheart. This place is a hidden gem! Avoid the bag shop near the tourist sites and support a local artisan business instead!
He's located on a quiet street, around the corner from St. Cecilia's. You won't regret visiting ??

They were patient and helpful as I struggled to decide and texted my sister and mother photos to see what sizes, colors etc they wanted of things. They carefully wrapped the items separately for gifting and added sweet little ladybugs for “buona fortuna” to each. They were very personable and accommodating - and taught me several Italian words as I struggled to communicate. As far as the actual leather goods - seem great quality, soft, many color and size options - and prices seem quite reasonable!
