★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely calm and meditative space away from the bustle of Rome. Both the garden and the cloister are very lovely. Tasso was cared for by the monks here, and is buried inside the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding frescoes by Antoniazzo Romano, Baldassarre Peruzzi, Pinturrichio, Domenichino, Giovanni Battista Ricci and Giuseppe Cesari -il Cavaliere d'Arpino. Well worth a visit to this gem tucked away on a hilltop overlooking the Tiber. Open in the morning until 13:00 (except on Saturday), plan a trip and enjoy also the picturesque cloister.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite standing next to Rome's very busy children's hospital, the church and the cloister were completely empty and very peaceful. Around the little cloister are paintings telling the life story of Saint Honofrio, with explanations in Italian.
