I	Isabella Pulignani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In via San Leonardo si trova questa bella e antica chiesa: la chiesa non e' grande ma e' ricca di opere d'arte, ha il campanile a vela ed intorno un bel giardino.Consiglio la visita di questa chiesa perche' e' veramente bella , e' aperta durante le funzioni religiose , la domenica mattina alle 11 c'e la Messa . In Via San Leonardo there is this beautiful and ancient church: the church is not large but is rich in works of art, has a bell tower and a beautiful garden around it. I recommend visiting this church because it is really beautiful, it is open during religious services, on Sunday mornings at 11 there is Mass.

Spoglia e semplice nella facciata, ha gli elementi tipici dell'architettura sacra medievale. Fin dal '300 fu gemellata alla scomparsa Chiesa di San Pier Scheraggio, dove prima della costruzione di Palazzo dei Priori si tenevano le riunioni per l'amministrazione comunale, le assemblee pubbliche e l’elezione dei Priori e del Gonfaloniere di giustizia, e da essa ricevette un pulpito marmoreo dal quale, secondo leggenda, sembra abbia parlato e predicato anche l’Alighieri, quando era priore cittadino, ed è per questo che i fiorentini lo chiamano “Il pulpito di Dante”, con l’affetto e la deferenza che questo gioiello nascosto merita. A	Anna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il voto non è per la chiesa ma per il prete, che non so come qualcuno possa definire gentile, e per la sua baciapile che in preda a una crisi mistica si è sentita in dovere di aizzarcelo contro non appena abbiamo varcato la soglia. Di domenica mattina alle 10.30 non c'era la Messa (inizia alle 11.00) e con un gruppetto di otto persone ci siamo affacciati alla spicciolata per vedere questo luogo solitamente chiuso ma siamo stati prontamente scacciati a male parole e senza motivo dato che all'ingresso non c'è un divieto di visita e abbiamo rispettato tutte le regole in materia covid, comportamento, abbigliamento ecc.. Non ho reagito solo perché c'erano dei bambini ma avrei voluto ricordargli che la Chiesa cattolica predica l'amore verso il prossimo, l'accoglienza, la fratellanza e il mondo civile l'educazione ma c'è chi continua a razzolare male anche tra le sue fila. Bella dimostrazione, bell'esempio soprattutto per i bambini, complimenti, godetevi la vostra chiesa e che buon pro vi faccia. Sono presenti anche due tele di Francesco Conti (1733 circa). Nel 1782 vi fu rimontato il celebre pergamo della fine del XII sec. ed inizio XIII proveniente dalla soppressa chiesa fiorentina di San Pier Scheraggio, con bassorilievi marmorei in parte decorati da tarsie raffiguranti scene del Nuovo Testamento. Da questo pulpito si dice che abbiano parlato Dante e Boccaccio.
