★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church is open 8:00 to 12:00, 16:30 to 19:30 daily.
Mass is celebrated here daily at 9:00 and 18:30. Confessions are heard for half an hour before the morning Mass, and there is Adoration for an hour after the evening one (which presumably involves a lock-in).
A fascinating and prayerful little old church, with an unrestored Cosmatesque floor (rare in Rome). It approached dereliction when in the charge of Carmelite nuns who became senile and incapable, but a Brazilian congregation called the Heralds of the Gospel have undertaken a very impressive restoration. Well done -especially in recovering the icon of St Benedict after it was stolen from the sisters.

Tucked away in The awesome Roman neighborhood of Pincinula, where there are no tourist crowds. Perfect for anyone who loves antiquities. Perfect for those who love the beautiful history of the church. Perfect for those who love cafés and cobblestone streets.
