L’attuale piccola costruzione venne benedetta il 2/8/1744; per la sua costruzione fu utilizzato materiale di risulta di edifici precedenti. Nel 1765 vi abitava un eremita. La scalinata d’accesso fu costruita a fine sec. XIX. Fino a 1947 presso la chiesa risiedeva un custode; nel 1979 venne demolito il locale attiguo pericolante. Sul fondo, entro una cornice in stucco con angioletti, è posta una tela centinata raffigurante san Pietro in Vincoli e l’angelo, con piccolo stemma bicolore alla base (tre stelle nella parte superiore e un capricorno in quella inferiore). Si celebra una tradizionale festa al termine della mietitura. Una lapide romana probabilmente rinvenuta nei dintorni, fu murata in epoca imprecisata all’esterno della chiesa. Nel 1994, per motivi di conservazione, venne rimossa, restaurata e ricollocata nel corridoio della biblioteca civica di Moncalvo; nel 1996 sul muro della chiesa venne posto un calco dell'originale. San Pietro in Vincoli (Pieve). The current small building was blessed on 2/8/1744; for its construction, waste material from previous buildings was used. In 1765 a hermit lived there. The access staircase was built at the end of the century. XIX. Until 1947 a caretaker resided in the church; in 1979 the adjacent perilous room was demolished. On the bottom, within a stucco frame with little angels, there is a ribbed canvas depicting San Pietro in Vincoli and the angel, with a small two-tone coat of arms at the base (three stars in the upper part and a capricorn in the lower one). A traditional festival is celebrated at the end of the harvest. A Roman plaque probably found in the surroundings was walled in an unspecified period outside the church. In 1994, for conservation reasons, it was removed, restored and relocated to the corridor of the Moncalvo civic library; in 1996 a cast of the original was placed on the church wall.
