Purtroppo arrivato alle 14,00 ed era chiusa. M	MARINO PEZZOLO on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa parrocchiale di Calliano AT, nel tipico barocco piemontese, spaziosa ed ariosa nel suo interno, nella facciata veramente imponente e maestosa. Infatti la visione della facciata in mattoni tipicamente di cotto piemontese, incute un rispetto ed ammirazione anche sul preoccupato, essendo in una posizione sopraelevata rispetto al piano della piazza antistante. La maestosità risalta anche dalle dimensioni della facciata stessa, che è visivamente ampliata appunto da questo dislivello. Interno come dicevo molto arioso e ampio, con luce naturale abbastanza presente anche nelle giornate invernali. L'abside molto spaziosa ha molto visibile tre grandi dipinti, al centro una natività, ed ai lati i martirii di San Pietro e di San Paolo. Il crocifisso ligneo che si libra al centro dell'abside, e un pregevole manufatto, mi pare del '500, restaurato e installato su croce lignea probabilmente del settecento, vista la fattura barocca. Notevole una crocifissione del Caccia nel primo altare della navata di destra. Inoltre mantenuto il pulpito ligneo sopraelevato, che curiosamente e originalmente il parroco attuale utilizza domenicalmente nelle sue omelie, come documentato in foto. Anche il tetto a crostoni duecenteschi, e con fondo blu cobalto stellato risulta di effetto molto scenico. The majesty also stands out from the dimensions of the facade itself, which is visually enlarged precisely by this difference in height. Interior as I said very airy and large, with natural light quite present even on winter days. The very spacious apse has three large paintings very visible, a nativity in the center, and the martyrs of San Pietro and San Paolo on the sides. The wooden crucifix hovering in the center of the apse, and a fine artifact, it seems to me from the 16th century, restored and installed on a wooden cross probably from the 18th century, given the Baroque workmanship. Noteworthy is a crucifixion by Caccia in the first altar of the right nave. Furthermore, the raised wooden pulpit, which curiously and originally the current parish priest uses Sunday in his homilies, as documented in the photo, is maintained. Even the roof with thirteenth-century crostoni, and with a starry cobalt blue background, has a very scenic effect.
