★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa della Madonna della Neve aveva un tempo il nome di Santa Maria de Viallo, dal nome di una località scomparsa nel XIII secolo.
Nel tempo ha subito diversi interventi che hanno alterato la struttura primitiva. L'abside e il campanile hanno fortunatamente conservato l'impronta romanica. Da osservare in particolare le belle monofore decorate con motivi floreali e il campanile cilindrico, unico tra le chiese romaniche rurali dell'astigiano.
All'interno, durante le opere di restauro, sono stati ritrovati numerosi affreschi, alcuni dei quali medioevali, che purtroppo sono osservabili solo nelle eccezionali aperture della chiesa.
PS In estate ci sono molti nidi di vespe... Fate attenzione
The Church of the Madonna della Neve once had the name of Santa Maria de Viallo, from the name of a place that disappeared in the 13th century.
Over time it has undergone several changes that have altered the original structure. The apse and the bell tower have fortunately preserved the Romanesque style. Particularly noteworthy are the beautiful single-lancet windows decorated with floral motifs and the cylindrical bell tower, unique among the rural Romanesque churches of the Asti area.
Inside, during the works of restoration, numerous frescoes, some of which were found medieval, which unfortunately are observable only in exceptional church openings.
