★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edificata nel decimo secolo, la cattedrale è stata più volte danneggiata nel corso dei secoli da vari terremoti e di seguito ricostruita. Nel campanile, alle spalle della cattedrale vi è la residenza vescovile. La facciata in pietra è in stile romanico ed è preceduto da una scalinata.
L'interno a tre navate presenta la pianta a croce latina. Le navate, sormontate da volte a crociera che ospitano in ricche cornici di stucco le tele raffiguranti i Dodici Apostoli.
Nell'abside, si ammira la tela dell'Assunzione di Maria Vergine al cielo (1745) eseguita da anonimo per volere dell'allora vescovo Tipaldi.
Molto bello il pulpito con pannelli rettangolari in bassorilievo
Built in the 10th century, the cathedral has been damaged several times over the centuries by various earthquakes and subsequently rebuilt. In the bell tower, behind the cathedral there is the bishop's residence. The stone facade is in Romanesque style and is preceded by a staircase.
The interior with three naves has a Latin cross plan. The naves, surmounted by cross vaults which house the paintings depicting the Twelve Apostles in rich stucco frames.
In the apse, you can admire the canvas of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven (1745) made by an anonymous artist at the behest of the then bishop Tipaldi.
The pulpit with rectangular bas-relief panels is very beautiful
