★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La cattedrale di Acerra è dedicata a Santa Maria Assunta, dopo i lavori di ristrutturazione l'interno della chiesa si presenta con pianta a croce latina con tre navate suddivise da pilastri con grande cupola. Nelle varie cappelle trovano ppsto numerosi dipinti, tra i quali un opera attribuita a Jusepe de Ribera, detto lo Spagnoletto.
The cathedral of Acerra is dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, after the renovation works the interior of the church has a Latin cross plan with three naves divided by pillars with a large dome. In the various chapels there are numerous paintings, including a work attributed to Jusepe de Ribera, called Lo Spagnoletto.

The cathedral even if internally changed in the spaces, especially the altar area which is advanced, maintains its mystical charm and harmony involving the visitor a. to linger and to gather in meditation in silence ample .... ample co. and the geometric spaces that surround it.
