Highly recommended destination in summer but especially in winter with snow. The excursion on Mutria is very valid, the view from the 1823 m peak is beautiful!

Non è attrezzata come il vicino Campitello Matese, ma per questo motivo è ideale per bambini e dilettanti che non hanno pretese estreme, ma comunque vogliono divertirsi con un banale slittino o con lo sci di fondo! Per chi non è attrezzato si possono noleggiare attrezzature , slittini etc presso due chalet nella zona. C'è anche la possibilità di giro guidato in motoslitta! Parcheggio gratuito lungo la strada con ampia capacità! Il rifugio - ristorante presente in zona sembra molto accogliente! Se si vuole pranzare di domenica è meglio prenotare in anticipo! Insomma un posto adatto a tutti! Unica pecca è che forse un po' affollato! Ero venuto in passato circa quattro anni fa e non era così frequentato! Beautiful naturalistic area! Il Monte Mutria si staglia al di sopra della locatità con tutta la imponenza dei suoi 1822 metri. La cima innevata sembra un massiccio dolomitico. D'estate si può raggiungere con un percorso di trekking di media difficoltà tra pinete e faggete secolari Lungo il percorso si aprono scorci incantevoli dellle valli del versante campano. Dalla cresta del Monte mutria che è lunga circa 5 Km si possono vedere, nelle giornate di bel tempo sia il mare tirreno che quello adriatico. Il percorso di trekking parte proprio alle spalle del Rifugio Montano "I Tre Faggi" che merita una visita per un buon pranzo accanto al caminetto acceso. Le ragazze che gestiscono il rifugio sono gentili e simpatiche. La zuppa di Funghi Porcini con le patate merita un entusiasmante encomio. Nell'altopiano del valico di bocca della selva a quota 1450 metri ci sono attrezzature invernali per ogni gusto soprattutto dedicate ai bambini e ai ragazzi. Si consiglia di acquistare l'ottimo Caciocavallo dalle numerose bancarelle poste a bordo strada. The snowy landscape of Bocca della Selva welcomes you with the blinding glow of the sun.
