Raro esempio di tale architettura in provincia.Vi si accede prendendo via Garibaldi,caratteristico vicolo pedonale di Veroli.Molto interessante ,non sempre aperta.Peccato. Il contesto vale comunque una passeggiata Romanesque basilica. A rare example of this architecture in the province, it can be accessed by taking via Garibaldi, the characteristic pedestrian alley of Veroli. Very interesting, not always open. Le camere sono ristrutturate benissimo, sono spaziose e hanno soffitti alti, muri di pietra e soffitto con travi di legno a vista A wonderful place, a gem. M	Mari Ube on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa purtroppo è chiusa. Abbiamo chiesto anche alla proloco ma non si sa quando riapra. Sorge accanto al monastero omonimo, trasformato in albergo diffuso. L'edificio si erge su un alto basamento con gradinata ed è preceduto da un portico ad arcate, chiuso con inferriate. La sua lunga storia avrebbe avuto origine nel VI secolo ad opera di S. Benedetto. Sulla facciata sono rilevabili formelle simboliche con tre "Nodi dell'Apocalisse". Più in alto altre formelle forse medievali raffiguranti figure fitomorfe e bestiali. Il campanile con bifore ha forme romaniche e presenta una scultura di monaco, forse il titolare. Più sotto una formella con simbolo verosimilmente vegetale e, su concio di recupero, una Triplice Cinta, schema inciso altre tre volte all'esterno dell'edificio. Si raggiunge a piedi lasciando l'auto preferibilmente fuori da Porta Romana. La salita di via Garibaldi si fa gradualmente più irta. Bellissima visuale delle tre absidi della chiesa la si ha ponendosi all'esterno di Porta Romana. Unfortunately the church is closed. We also asked the proloco but it is not known when it will reopen. It stands next to the monastery of the same name, which has been transformed into a widespread hotel. The building stands on a high base with steps and is preceded by an arched portico, closed with railings. Its long history would have originated in the sixth century by St. Benedict. On the façade there are symbolic panels with three "Apocalypse Nodes". Above other perhaps medieval panels depicting phytomorphic and bestial figures. The bell tower with mullioned windows has Romanesque shapes and has a sculpture of a monk, perhaps the owner. Below, a tile with a probably vegetable symbol and, on a recovered ashlar, a Triple Cinta, a pattern engraved three more times on the outside of the building. It can be reached on foot, preferably leaving the car outside Porta Romana. The ascent of via Garibaldi gradually becomes more rugged. A beautiful view of the three apses of the church can be found outside the Porta Romana.
