★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best meal I can remember eating in a restaurant. The lamb chops melted in my mouth. The seafood pasta was just as incredible. The beer was crisp and full of flavor.

Each every dish is delicious & a fine art. Services are great, but bothered by mosquitoes sitting outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for lunch our first day in Varenna (on a Monday) and we reserved a table for Friday evening right away. Lunch was fantastic and we ate a several other restaurants before our evening dinner and we still were excited to get to back al Prato. I believe the service and food were amazing and believe for the quality of the food and service it was worth the price we paid. We loved it so much we went back again for dinner then next day and cancelled the reservation we had a another restaurant for our last night in Varenna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al Prato is so tasty! The lovely owner of Casa Bella, Giorgio, suggested it and we really enjoyed our dinner. We got the risotto, ravioli and lamb chops. We’d recommend them all! The staff was also very kind, highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let me just start off by saying that I still think about our meals here. We dined at Al Prato 3 different times during the week that we were in Varenna. The setting is picturesque and in a quiet area away from the crowds. Great service and delicious food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best dinning places in Varenna, hands down! Fantastic menu and wine list and even though it is more of a “fine dining space” the prices were good and the atmosphere toned down. Note that you might need to book in advance, specially around weekends but it is so worthwhile!! ❤️
