Rude owner.
Said all tables were booked, no signs anywhere.
If you stay at Bellavista, don’t go here.
Bad, bad service.
Doesn’t deserve to be in Como area with this attitude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was wonderful, a beautiful young lady took care of us. The food was terrible, it was tasteless, felt like you were eating in a retirement home. The view was spectacular but the lights too bright for dinner. Honestly, would have had a better meal at McDonalds-lol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yummy food, lovely wine, polite staff. But you want to have a table overlooking the water, rather than inside, as the view is beautiful! The price was reasonable, and quality of food not reflected fairly by their tacky-looking menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We want to have dinner in this restaurant. We sit there, waiter ask if we want to eat (no we want to play videogames) he bring us menu on paper like in last tavern on the world. We ordered drinks. After looking on menu, we find, there is nothing to eat for childrens. So we kindly ask for bill for drinks. Rude waiter said why we dont want to eat, that table is for eating (resraurant was totally empty) I said him, we dont find nothing to eat for kids, so we want go away. After another 15 minutes and waiters consultation with another person (I think some kind of boss) he bring bill. 30 EUR for bottle of water, 1 cola and 1 mojito ??? nice evening. They looks like grand hotel, but its italian hole. Smell of sewers everywhere and ants on table …

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food and beautiful view from the restaurant’s terrace! Have taken 1 star off for service - could be faster and more attentive.
Prices are reasonable for the quality of food - 6x glasses of wine, 2x starters, 2x pastas and a dessert was €100.
I specifically enjoyed the gnocchi ragu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We dined there last night and found it to be a welcoming and delightful experience. We arrived to Menaggio late and it became difficult to find somewhere to eat. We were grateful that del Porto were able to accommodate us.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced for a fine establishment with white tablecloths and attentive service. Locals Italians seemed to be present and they were given quite a lot of attention by the staff. Tourists will have to wait longer for service. The restaurant is in the Hotel Bellevista which is a bit dated, but the place is kept up well. Overall a positive experience.
