★ ★ ★ ★ ★ un po deludente, nessun ricordo vivo di Galileo Galilei che qui trascorse gli ultimi anni della sua vita e qui morì assistito dalla figlia Suor Maria Celeste e dai due allievi Viviani e Torricelli
 a little disappointing, no vivid memory of Galileo Galilei who spent the last years of his life here and died here assisted by his daughter Sister Maria Celeste and by the two students Viviani and Torricelli

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villa storica a pochi passi dall'osservatorio di Arcetri. Completamente ristrutturata ed utilizzata per convegni o workshop. Difficilmente visitabile dal pubblico, meriterebbe di essere valorizzata di più come molti altri beni culturali in Italia.
Historic villa just steps from the Arcetri observatory. Completely restored and used for conferences or workshops. Difficult to visit by the public, it deserves to be valued more like many other cultural assets in Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La casa che fu la dimora finale di Galileo e che cerca di dare la testimonianza della vita di questa grande genio che dovette soffrire le chiusure di una Chiesa che non voleva aprirsi al rinnovamento.
Dopo mille vicissitudini questa bella villa è stata riaperta al pubblico grazie all'Università che ne è proprietaria.
The house that was Galileo's final home and that tries to bear witness to the life of this great genius who had to suffer from the closures of a Church that did not want to open up to renewal.
After a thousand vicissitudes this beautiful villa has been reopened to the public thanks to the University that owns it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il luogo è magico. Ci sono stata con una visita guidata il 2 aprile 2017. La visita guidata è troppo breve e ~ nonostante la competenza e la cordialità delle guide ~ si è costretti quasi a correre e se il gruppo è numericamente consistente quelli che sono in fondo alla fila dei partecipanti perdono dei pezzi della spiegazione... perchè le guide iniziano a parlare appena entrano nelle stanze.
The place is magical. I was there with a guided tour on April 2, 2017. The guided tour is too short and ~ despite the competence and friendliness of the guides ~ you are almost forced to run and if the group is numerically consistent, those who are at the bottom of the row participants lose pieces of the explanation ... because the guides start talking as soon as they enter the rooms.
