★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Careful!!! If you are a woman please don't shop alone there! Went the shop by myself and ask one of the owner if they have any other colours. The old man touched and rubbed my waist said: sorry we dont have. I was shocked then told him: Dont touch me please!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife had just entered the store and unzipped a purse she fancied when the shopkeeper came up to her. He said "Don't finish opening that. You're not going to buy it anyway." Surprised, my wife left the store saying, "I guess you can zip it back up yourself." Not sure if the shopkeeper is a racist or just an idiot, but if you want to buy Umberto, go anywhere else. The reviews on Yelp show lots of exeriences like my wife's. Umberto should find someone else to sell its products in Florence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sweetest man, Umberto himself was at the shop. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The quality is impeccable, the craftmacrafts is superb and the personal service was amazing!
Are their cheaper leather purses? Of course. But if you want quality, go see Umberto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This one is authentic, While visiting many leather goods stores, beware of unauthentic leather goods! Many vendors will tell you they are originals but really are not! get a crash course, sorting out authentic shops from fakes.
After visiting may stores only a hand full seemed to be the real thing, that manufactured their own goods. I purchased a fantastic thin leather laptop bag there, exactly what i was looking for. Befor visiting this store i was almost convinced nobody had what i wanted, and was settling to buy a Tumi bag double the price. I was very happy with my find and the price. My wife also ended up buying a hand bag, she fell in love with. The shoulder strap was missing so Umberto the shop keeper said he will mail it to us and he did. we received it 3 weeks later. You can see their PRIDE of craftsmanship from there presentation of goods, Most store pack there stuff in shelves like a flee market, mostly selling China imports, I recommend this place for the serious buyer.
