β β β β β Enjoyed watching a marbling demo and chatting the with owner. Not as much variety as another shop we went to but found a large piece done with wooden blocks that I love. Definitely worth popping in.

β β β β β The moment I walked in I felt I was entering a special place. I was right! The staff (Leonardo) was very helpful. He spent the time to show me how their designs are printed on paper. If you know anyone that loves to journal or just appreciates quality paper, cards, gifts!!
This is one of the musts while visiting Florence.

β β β β β It were actually some cute unique little animal clays in the windows caught my attention. The owner was so welcoming and talkative. This was a family run business through five generation so far. The owner was a elderly gentleman who showed us how he and his family made book covers and even gave us one as a gift. I bought only a journal with cover of peacock feather, which looked incredibly awesome. I would have bought the clay animals if I weren't spending too much on clothes the day before...pity. They have lots of branches in Italy and even in London. Their items are more expensive compared to other stores but I think it's quite worth it.

β β β β β It's been quite a long day for me walking in Florence town and having to stop by each place with nice stationery, from my hostel to this branch of a shop near Ponte Vecchio, the famous old bridge. Despite the weight of my backpack, this has been my highlight of the day. I love how the staff were so impressive of how they just knew what they were doing. The female staff (her name is Ermira) showed me just how to make a good wax seal. She didn't hesitate to offer the preview of 2 designs I was interested in and even gave me those finished wax seal samples ><" (I didn't know the trick was to put a bit of oil on the stamp first)?
The male staff (his name is Lorenzo) invited me to join a demonstration of how to make the traditional paper painting (they called it paper marbleizing) to a group of tourists and didn't mind me taking the video. He was quite fluent in English since the tourists seemed to undertsnad only that language. I supposed it was his family's shop as he pointed out where there were some old photos of the shop with his dad working. Now only in Florence they have 6 branches. I only visited 2 of them but this one is the best! (Just cross the bridge to the other side of the river in Via Guicciardini 47r!) βΊ
They have been super friendly and helpful. (Like, we took selfies and we agreed I'd send some postcard once I'll be back home ?) I got an owl seal for my future experiment with wax seal on some letters for the first time. What a little treat after my thesis was done. Thanks Lorenzo and Ermira, you guys have made my day. Until we meet again, alla prossima! ?

Their shop are at Firenze, Venezia, Rome, Siena and Pisa as long as I know.
