★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Historical restaurant/pizzeria. Serves traditional thin-crust Roman style pizza, the customary array of starters plus some typically Roman first and main courses. The place is very informal and the menu isn't extensive, but the food is high quality and it's really affordable. They recently announced they start serving pizza for lunch as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm convinced this place has the best Roman style pizza in town. This is however not a beautiful place, not too quaint either but the food is great if you are looking for traditional seasonal Roman food. It's usually busy in the evenings with locals. It's cheaper than most restaurants and good for groups too. The wine list is basically local and regional wines from Lazio if you like them. Order the bottled wine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this place deserves an exception. My family was simply looking to raise blood sugar after visiting catacombs. We were hungry and grumpy and needed food. This place happened to be nearby. It turned into a surprisingly good experience. It’s a family-run restaurant that has been in business for nearly 100 years. Many of their pastas are homemade, the bread was much better than we’ve been getting elsewhere, the portions were generous, etc. They even gave us a bottle of their house label wine as a thank you for our business. It was exactly what we needed to fuel us for the rest of the day of exploring. Grazie mille!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is just the best restaurant experience in Italy. Dot. It's tradition, it's the wood oven, the hand made pastas. It's family smells, it's flavors of a home. Not ours, but a home that welcomes you and warms your heart.
