★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was alright. Prices were reasonable and service brisk when I went at opening. Had the tortelli all'affumicata which I devoured and the tiramisu. Both were enjoyable in a cosy setting. They had comic book posters and some Halloween decorations when I went so that gives you an idea of the setting. Good for kids I think. It was a little bit like a home made and comfort meal but nothing much more extravagant than that. Sometimes that's just all we need though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a friendly and busy place with serviceable food and reasonable prices. The food comes out astonishingly quickly. It's a good budget option.
Skip the house wine! It comes in a cute serving vessel but is not a good addition to your meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant is house within the Lucca walled city. Popular with the locals it serves a wide varieties of italian food. Prices are reasonable and prior reservation is recommended otherwise during lunch hours the wait can be about 30-45 mins. Lucca walked city itself has many small shops that sells mainly italian brands product. On every 3rd weekend( Saturday and Sunday) of the month, there is an antique street market operating from 10a.m. to 7p.m. plenty of local antiques to browse and buy at reasonable prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it here. It had a home feel. Food was tasty, delicious. Their homemade cakes are also great. It has a cozy feeling. Staff seems like family, really friendly and open. Service was fast. Toilets were clean. I would definitely eat there again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife’s grilled chicken was a bit bland. Could have used some seasoning before it hit the grill. My stewed pork was tasty but the meat could have used another hour or so in the stew pot. But our first course, penne in a tomato cream bacon sauce, was the star. One of the three best pasta dishes we’ve had so far in Italy. That penne dish alone is worth a trip to Lucca.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friendly, affordable, and delicious trattoria! The staff is wonderful and the food is excellent. The menu changes occasionally which allows for pleasant variety if you come regularly. Lucchese and Tuscan delicacies on offer.
For those concerned about summer heat, they have air-conditioned indoor seating. The outdoor seating is lovely as well. The restaurant is great for those with children as they have toys and entertainment on hand to keep the kids occupied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With so many excellent Italian restaurants, this is definitely the worst option... pasta was 3 out of 10 and chicken was inedible. Wine was 1 out of 10. Plus staff was very rude and the outside tables are in a shade corridor.
