A somewhat disappointing gastronomic experience. The restaurant clearly aims to impress the guest with some unusual combinations but also serves some more classical dishes. In my opinion, the chefs focused too much on presenting something interesting and not enough on a pleasant dining experience. In the end, I quite enjoyed the less creative dishes such as the spaghetti and the pigeon enjoyed a lot more but really didn’t fancy the more creative ones - some felt unusual for the sake of being unusual and some were just poorly executed. The service seemed to try to create a strict upscale atmosphere but didn’t have enough organization and finesse to pull it off. I would’ve definitely preferred more relaxed seating arrangement and more friendly communication style. The choice of wines in the pairing was quite pleasant but the serving potions were rather small. My rating: 3.2

Three hour tasting experience. It’s top notch. Everything was lovely from the decor to the food.

Old fashioned one star Michelin restaurant in Lucca. We took the 6 courses menu and were not disappointed. I enjoyed the creativity of some of the courses, especially the Spinach, sea urchins and licorice (served on the 8 courses menu but I asked for it on the 6 courses). The only downside would be that I did not feel the story along the courses. Overall a very good experience!

Great atmosphere and the staff were excellent. My partner and I chose the tasting menu of 8 courses. Most of these were new to us and quite delicious until it came to the last two courses - the main dish and dessert. It left us feeling a bit disappointed as the charred Chinese cabbage was very bitter and it definitely needed something sweet or acidic to cut through it, the lamb was okay but just that - okay. The sesame ice cream as the center of the dessert left an unpleasant taste in the mouth afterwards and the accompanying panna cota and candied kumquat weren’t enough to lift the dish. Nevertheless, all of the plates looked amazing and overall nice experience and service. PS: The sourdough bread that they make in-house was divine!

Ended up at Giglio by accident - and we were so happy about it! Great atmosphere, such a beautiful palazzo, friendly and relaxed service, great food, great drinks. We had the 6 course menu and enjoyed every dish. We would definitely come back!

Even if I was not impressed by the interior, I must admit that the food was supreme.. we had the 7-course tasting menu and the culinary experiments were spectacular.. especially, the pumpkin salad.. my only disapointment was the dessert - PASTA and icecream does not match!!! ;)

Very good restaurant, deserving their Michelin star. Staff was just casual and friendly enough to make the experience relaxed, but still very professional. We had the vegetarian 6 course menu and the β€˜normal’ 6 course menu and both were delicious. Wine selection was also great.

One of our favorite meals that we have ever eaten in Italy. The service is very professional, the outdoor seating on the piazza is beautiful, and the food is refined and exciting. We were surprised to be served an appetizer course of small dishes as a surprise with compliments from the restaurant. The rabbit dumplings with fava beans was the perfect spring dish. Absolutely heavenly. Millefoglie and amari for dessert did not disappoint. They also brought a complimentary dessert surprise β€” little wafers with Campari jam. Just unreal. You must eat here if you are looking for an exciting meal in Lucca.
