B	Benedetto Monachella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uniche note positive la location e la disponibilità e gentilezza del personale. Per il resto esperienza da dimenticare. La camera era maleodorante, forse a causa dell'arredamento vetusto e polveroso. Pulizia non proprio al top. Presenza di formiche nei letti, gechi all'interno della camera da letto!! La colazione scarsa e con poca possibilità di scelta. Piscina con acqua non proprio pulitissima e ombrelloni bordo piscina rotti due su tre!! The only positive notes are the location and the availability and kindness of the staff. For the rest, an experience to forget. The room was smelly, possibly due to the old and dusty furniture. Cleaning not really at the top. Presence of ants in the beds, geckos inside the bedroom !! The breakfast poor and with little choice. Swimming pool with not exactly clean water and two out of three broken poolside umbrellas !!

Tutto stupendo sia la location che il personale.. La signora Sabina e la signora Valentina gentilissime e sempre disponibili. Consigliamo a tutti di andarci.. Ne vale davvero la pena. After a season spent in the Aeolian Islands my husband and I stayed 4 days in September with friends in this lovely place. All wonderful both the location and the staff .. Mrs. Sabina and Mrs. Valentina very kind and always available. We recommend everyone to go there .. It's really worth it.

Gli appartamenti sono un gioiellino, arredamento country chic, puliti, confortevoli...il tutto immerso dalla natura..fa da sfondo una piscina a disposizione degli ospiti con vista sulle colline circostanti....la vera chicca poi è la fantastica accoglienza delle due padrone di casa....Sabina e Valentina...attente al cliente e di una grande cortesia e gentilezza... If you are looking for a structure to relax this place is the top !!!! The apartments are a gem, country chic furnishings, clean, comfortable ... all surrounded by nature .. a swimming pool available to guests with a view of the surrounding hills in the background .... the real gem is the fantastic welcome of the two hosts .... Sabina and Valentina ... attentive to the customer and a great courtesy and kindness ...

Gentilezza e cortesia delle signore Valentina e Sabina hanno reso tutto più gradevole. Really enchanting place, located in a position from which you can easily reach the various tourist destinations. Kindness and courtesy of the ladies Valentina and Sabina made everything more pleasant.

Piscina, camere grandi e molto ben tenute con l'aria condizionata, colazione abbondante e la signora Sabina e Valentina molto gentili. Tutto per una cifra super ragionevole (85 euro). Il paesaggio è molto suggestivo. Non si può chiedere di più. A very nice little place at the top of the hill. Swimming pool, large and very well maintained rooms with air conditioning, abundant breakfast and Mrs. Sabina and Valentina very kind. All for a super reasonable amount (85 euros). The landscape is very impressive. You can't ask for more.
L	Loredana Toro on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci siamo trovati benissimo ottima accoglienza,Valentina Brava dolce e competente, camera calda pulita e letto ottimo...fronte piscina anche da ripristinare, ma ci sta ancora non ee tempo...abbiamo portato la nostra cagnolina Martina che è stata felice. La location è immersa nel verde a due passi dal parco Alcantara. Se pensate di Nn trovare animaletti di campagna, o stanze superperfette da 5 stelle andate al Gran Hotel, riferito ad una coppia che sbraitava al mio risveglio. Abbiamo anche pranzato alla Casa delle Monache che è collegato cn la struttura pranzo eccellente! Colazione al Poggio molto buona e abbondante. Se ce qlcsa da sistemare ancora la stagione deve partire. Le lamentele nn servono a niente i consigli o le critiche fatte a modo sistemano tutto,riferito sempre alla coppia che ho sentito personalmente lamentarsi. Noi diamo 5 stelle x servizio camera accoglienza e ritorneremo in estate x godere anche della piscina...la mia Amata Cagnolina Martina tornera felicissima! We had a great time excellent welcome, Valentina Brava sweet and competent, clean warm room and excellent bed ... facing the pool also to be restored, but there is still no time ... we brought our dog Martina who was happy. The location is surrounded by greenery a stone's throw from the Alcantara park. If you think you can't find country animals, or super-perfect 5-star rooms, go to the Gran Hotel, referring to a couple who yelled when I woke up. We also had lunch at the Casa delle Monache which is connected cn the excellent dining facility! Very good and plentiful breakfast at the Poggio. If there is still something to fix, the season has to start. Complaints are useless advice or criticisms made in a way they fix everything, always referring to the couple that I have personally heard complain. We give 5 stars x welcome room service and we will return in the summer x also enjoy the swimming pool ... my beloved dog Martina will be back very happy!
C	Christine G. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a wonderful stay at Il Poggio. The staff was so helpful, and even though the English level wasn’t great, they were very eager to talk and help. The help was essential! They arranged a table at their restaurant (5 min drive) called Il Borgio which was great. They took care of the reservation of an Etna tour last minute (1 day before) as we hadn’t arranged anything upon arrival. They recommended and booked a wine tasting at Cantine Patria for the same day which was GREAT! Room was so cosy, although bed was very hard and there were ants in the kitchen area. Bathroom great. Pool was good and view amazing! The hotel is outside of town and very hard to find on Google Maps and GPS so pay attention. Breakfast plain but fine. It requires some planning to drive for lunch and dinner But the quietness and view was everything! Thanks for a great stay :)
L	Liza Skripka on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our stay at Il Poggio. While the service was excellent and staff was super friendly, the rest wasn't great. First of all, the name is deceiving, it's not a luxury country resort as it was advertised on Expedia, it's an Agriturismo with a pool. Secondly, our room was dangerous to sleep in, as it has a lot of humidity and it was mouldy - unfortunately, we only noticed it after the reception closed at 4pm and couldn't do anything or change the room (the property was also full, I don't think it would be possible to change it). Because of mold and humidity, it was very hard to sleep. The owners know about the condition of the room, yet, the only thing they did was to put aroma diffusers in the room to try to overtake the smell of humidity and mold, which wasn't very successful. Thirdly, the shower pipes were broken and were leaking water from the ceiling, which was gross. Finally, the walls were so thin that we could hear the dog barking all the time at the room upstairs. Moreover, there is absolutely nothing nearby and nothing to do at the property after dark (everything is closed, there is no reception area).
