The added value is in the management, Gabriella has been very friendly, always available to help. She will give you the right hints to avoid the main stream overcrowded place to go. Ask for Gaetano to take you on a tour on the Etna...so professional and friendly and knowlegeble...not to mention the lovely pool and breakfast with seasonal fruit! thanks again for the lovely stay!
C	Claire Ago on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Driving down SP81, a car was close behind. At the time, I was recovering from being lost on Sicilian roads, and looking for Fondo Cipollate. After pulling over, imagine my surprise when the woman driver rolled down her window and called, "Douglas, are looking for the agriturismo? I am Gabrielle, the owner, follow me." Well, that was our introduction, she was a wonderful hostess, the rooms were full of light, spacious, and it was wonderful sleeping. Local restaurants were available, accessible, and with delicious foods. Gabrielle was most helpful during our stay, not the least of which was her excellent inglesi. Yes, we would return again if we had never visited that region of Sicily.
C	Christopher Briner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful Agriturismo with romantically rustic rooms and a great pool. The breakfast here was fresh and delicious, though no other meals are served. There is a good parking lot for your car, which is needed to get there. It is well located, driving distance from Taormina, Etna and the Gole d'Alcantara.
B	Booking.com user on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Good location and welcoming owner, beautiful view from the property.. Negative: Room was not very comfortable and was not cleaned very well. Breakfast was quite disappointing for the price paid and except for the local jam, everything was visibly the cheapest supermarket option. Almost everything on the table was visibly not fresh, especially tomatoes, bread and fruit. We stayed at the property for 4 nights and the bowl of “not so fresh” tomatoes did not change during our entire stay..

The surrounding area has several restaurants and nice mountain villages.. Negative: The bed was a bit uncomfortable, and we had some problems with the wifi..

M	Mike Amodio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been coming to Fondo Cipolallate once a year for the past ten years. The agriturismo is tucked away in a beautiful oasis on the foothills of Mt. Etna. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorate. During our last visit, the garden was filled with the sweet smells of orange blossoms and rosemary. The swimming pool overlooks the Alcantara Valley with Taormina and the seas as a backdrop. Gabriella, the owner and host, strikes the perfect balance of hospitality by always being available to assist and provide recommendations on what to do in the area while allowing privacy and space to feel relaxed and enjoy a wonderful family vacation with friends.
B	Barry Kirkendall on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a well-located very charismatic farm stay 20 minutes from Taormina (no traffic). The kids say the breakfasts were the best part but they're crazy; Gabriela, the owner, is the real gem. She helped us plan a few things none more important than laundry. The gigantic pool is only open after May but there are lots of areas to have picnics off season. We found the location easy to find using Google - maybe those other folks were using Apple maps.
